The 8-Division Organizing Structure

The efficient operation of any Group of people depends upon their cohesion of purpose, balanced by the identification, separation, and coordination of specific necessary tasks and responsibilities which—assigned or not to specific individuals—are fulfilled within the Group. This is written specifically for the foundational Cause Group for the Matrix-8 Solution – but it is applicable to all Cause Groups to follow. It is also fundamental to the structural necessities of any program of action in the Real World.
It is expected that any group of individuals or established companies utilizing a Matrix-8 Solution platform for Crowdfunding or other purposes will already have their basic organizational structures in place. However, most Cause Groups don't start with established organizations, but as numbers of individual strangers with vague ideas and agreements that something must be done about something. The following is a suggested template for the organizational action for all such Cause Groups – and in this instance, for the Matrix-8 Solution Cause Group itself.
This organizational structure is divided into 8 Divisions along a sequence of growth and function as a Cause Group finds its footing. Each Cause Group can apply these Divisions in its own unique way. And as a group grows and becomes more complex, the Organizing Structure is further fleshed out by designating Departments within the Divisions, and then Sections within the Departments. In theory, the Organizing Structure as described could expand to any size – while still maintaining its unity and efficient functionality.
In Div 1, the Governance Division, the structure starts with the whole Cause Group defining its identity in a statement by its selected President of exactly who or what it is, and what it wants to accomplish. Then Div 1 establishes Divs 2, 3 & 4 to define and create the internal mechanisms necessary to get started. And utilizing the mechanisms laid down by Divs 2, 3 & 4, Div 1 then establishes Divs 5, 6, & 7 to put that machinery to work in Society.
Div 8’s functions of Innovations are actually the initial basis of the Executive Dept of Div 1: a bunch of individuals brainstorming and grappling with what the Cause Group can do about the present situation. Innovations is the last division to be created and operate on its own. It doesn’t exist as a separate division until the whole Cause Group is at least sketched out. Then it is created by Div 1 to continue investigating what else can be done to improve on what has thus far been created.
Div 1 – Governance
The Governance Div is modeled after the US Constitution with its separation of powers and Checks and Balances. Its bicameral congress is modified such that the House of Representatives (like the British House of Commons) both deliberates as the Mob, and also selects the President. Each Participant in the Cause Group is there because they know exactly what the basic Purposes are – and is in agreement with them. So, the Executive Dept of this division is made up of of the Mob arranged in 8-PAC's. It selects the President who is the Voice of the Mob, and who is always refining the statement of what the Mob wants to accomplish in Society, relative to what is currently going on. The Executive Dept via the President states who and what the Group is.
The Judicial Dept, aka the Court, states the broad Policies and Purposes of the Group and enforces them internally and externally. It makes sure the Cause Group acts ethically and legally in the Real World. It metes out justice internally, and is tasked along with the Senate with protecting the group in the Real World.
The Legislative Dept, aka the Senate (like the British House of Lords), follows the President's directions and makes clear statements of the specific Goals to be attained. It refines the Goals into specific Plans, Programs, and Projects, and gives all orders to Divs 2 through 8 to accomplish the stated Goals. It assures that all the necessary legal and financial rudiments are be in place: Lawyers, zoning requirements, accountants, tax strategies, corporate papers, projected costs, bank accounts, payroll, escrow accounts, etc.
Both the Judicial and Legislative departments are likely to be selected from the Opinion Leaders known to everyone through their public activities in the Chatroom or Chatrooms from which the Mob has sprung. In size, the Court would be one 8-PAC; and the Senate would be at least one 8-PAC. The Mob decides whether just a majority vote is necessary to nominate or remove a member of the Judiciary or Senate – or whether a super majority is needed.
Div 1 is senior to all other Divisions. It creates all the other Divisions through general discussion and elections, it then retreats leaving the operational structure of each Division to operate on its own.
These other Divisions, 2 through 8, are organized along more conventional business organizational models. They may also utilize sub-Matrix-8 Platforms to further organize themselves.
Div 2 – Recruitment
Next on the agenda is growth! This Division is responsible for reaching out into Society to non-Members. It promotes the Matrix-8 Solution, and actively recruits for new Members. It seeks data, experts, opinion leaders, and resources. It maintains communications with non-Members who are recruitment prospects. When it is successful, the new recruits are handed off to Div 3 for posting within the group.
Div 2 uses a variation of the Carrot and Stick approach. In this case, the Carrot is the potential for a new member to make a bunch of money – hence the motto: Saving the world for fun and profit!
First, it costs $0.00 to join. And new members can immediately start accumulating KLU Tokens by: 1) Joining and demonstrating their knowledge of the Matrix-8 Solution; 2) By actively donating their skills, goods, services, and cash to the group; 3) By recruiting others; and 4) By being involved with specific business ventures using Matrix-8 Platforms. Because of the Network effect, and the MLM rewards structure, the growth in value of the KLU Tokens they accumulate will substantially appreciate in value over time.
In cooperation with Treasury, the Recruitment Division will develop and monitor a MLM structure to reward individual recruiters for the production of their downlines. Downlines and all Donations will be recorded on Blockchain.
The Stick in this case will be wielded by Members! Once they recognize that the Matrix-8 Solution is a giant threat to the Powers that Shouldn't Be, they will want in on the action. It is hoped that patriots from jurisdictions across the world and all manner of groups that have a bone to pick with the Powers that Shouldn't Be will flock to the Matrix-8 Solution. This is their chance to dethrone the bad guys.
The main purpose of the Recruitment Division is to vitalize, expand and strengthen any Cause Group.
Div 3 – Internal Communications
This division deals with the assignment of, and the continual maintenance of the Cause Group's internal structure – basically who is assigned to what post, and what is expected of them. It makes sure everyone knows who is in each post, and that everybody knows what each post is expected to produce, and with whom they deal to produce it. It keeps track of the statistically verifiable production of each post, and shows each post's production graphically – based on the stated countable products.
All communications between Members should be CCed to the Internal Comm Secretary to be recorded on Blockchain so that the group as a whole has an easily accessible memory of its interactions. Div 3 will also nudge individuals who are slow to respond to the communications sent to them. Anything newsworthy to the group is sent to the individuals involved.
The Internal Comm Div makes sure there is continued harmony within the Cause Group, and insists on a high level of Ethics from everyone. Problems it can't solve through training it refers to Qualifications for debugging, or to the Judiciary for disciplinary correction.
Div 4 – External Communications
Div 4 is similar to Div 2, in that both of them are reaching out to non-Members. But Div 4 is not recruiting as such. Its purpose is more Public Relations for the purpose of attracting new users of the platform. It seeks to inform the public of the goods and services offered by the Cause Group. It keeps records of interactions in the Real World. And until asked to stop – it will continue to maintain communications with any individual or group that has ever expressed interest in the Cause Group. It may alert Recruitment to any hot leads it uncovers, and it will receive and maintain contact with any cold leads Recruitment sends it.
It will create Newsletters, and other promotional pieces. It will attempt to upsell products and services the public has already purchased.
These first four divisions are focused on the structure, internal operations, and growth of the Cause Group as a unit. The next 4 Divisions deal with the Cause Group's active interface with Society to realize the desired Goals and Purposes, by implementing Plans, Programs, Projects, and Targets.
Div 5 – Treasury
Treasury handles all aspects of the inflow and outflow of Value in whatever form it takes. In the Real World, it handles bank accounts, payments and receivables – always maintaining an excellent credit rating. It establishes a reserve fund to handle group emergencies. It purchases and controls the physical items the group needs for daily operation and disburses them upon proper requisition.
Within the matrix it keeps track on Blockchain of the Credits due to all members because of their Donations of Value, and the Donations of their downlines. At the direction of the President, it will Donate KLUs according to its current metric of rewarding those who have helped the Mob. But no KLUs are ever sold – only donated. And anyone receiving a KLU is assumed to be a Member of the Mob.
Div 6 – Production
This is where things actually get done for the Mob. Following the steps laid out by the Senate, and supported by the legal and financial foundations it put in place, Div 6 operates the matrix with the Goods and Services it requested and Div 5 supplied.
According to the Surveys it gives to the Mob, it assures that 8-PACs are assigned – always with the intention of concentrating and increasing agreement. Div 6 provides and operates the agreement machine that produces what the Mob wants. This is the heart of the organization. It continues the cycle of providing Surveys, and assigning 8-PACs, until the Mob has adopted the specific Business Plans they need to resolve the societal problem that brought them together in the first place.
It is the agreements achieved using the Matrix-8 Solution that will lead the Mob to then apply their Business Plans in the Real World. A job is done when Divs 7 and 1 acknowledge that its Goals have been met. That particular Cause Group then either dissolves, or its Div 1 adopts more or other Goals to pursue.
Div 7 – Qualifications
Div 7 monitors the statistics of all posts against expected Targets, and corrects any inefficiencies, bad products, and any disharmony among Members. And Qualifications is very attentive to any unexpected successes – and seeks to understand and promote them.
It certifies when a Correction or a Target has been accomplished.
Div 8 – Innovations
Throughout the whole process, Div 8's job is to push the envelope of every aspect of the Cause Group. It is constantly on the lookout for better ways to do things, and better things to do. It is very interested in what Divs 2 and 4 learn from the experts it queries, and from the data it has found.
Innovations is interested in both the internal and external activities of the Cause Group – from saving money on paperclips, to how some Program or Plan could be used for another beneficial Goal. Div 8 is always asking, “How can that be done better?” and “What's next?” Any Member with a bright idea, or unsolved problem is invited to send it on to Div 8. Any innovation deemed worthy is shared with those interested Members in other Divs.
But, nothing new is ever put in place that disrupts the current mechanisms of the Org Structure. Only with notification and input from the Posts affected, and the permission of Qualifications is a pilot program initiated. If the pilot program proves superior by statistics to some aspect of the current structure then it is adopted – modifying or replacing what was there before.
It is worth noting that this 8 Division Org Structure is based on the 7 Division Organizing Board developed by Lafayette R. Hubbard. He also wrote an encyclopedic set of volumes giving detailed information on how each part of the structure interfaces with other parts and with the whole of the organization. Plus, there is a mirror set of volumes others have written to use the same structure for general purposes.
As we go forward, we may find that offering some or all of our administrational expertise in applying the necessities of these Divisions will be a service we can offer to any who use the Matrix-8 Platform for their causes. It would be similar to companies outsourcing their HR departments to experts in the field.
