Graduation Day of Food Business Course / 食ビジネス講座の卒業式

It was the last day of the food business course I've been participating in since last autumn.

My main job is programming and technical writing but I love food so much. So after I moved to Germany, I started cooking for events and developing food products. Interestingly I like to grow food, and then gardening became one of my work too.

I thought it might help me to learn about food production structurally so I decided to take took the course with my vegan Japanese ice cream idea. The ice cream was already served at a local market but I would like to make it as a packed product.

I learned a lot and had fun time with other participants. Not only we listened to lectures but also we went to see a food trade fair, catered food to events, provided samples at a local market etc.

I have a lot more to do but I was happy to pack the ice cream in cups and provided at the local market.

I'm proud on receiving the certificate today. I enjoy this content feeling of finishing the course over the easter holidays and will be back to my food business.

今日は去年の秋から受講していた食ビジネスの講座の最終日でした。ドイツ語で受講していたこととかつ大好きな食べ物の講座だったこともあり、久しぶりにもらった証明書がとてもうれしかったです。イースターのお休みがあけたら額を買ってきて仕事場に飾ろうと思います。

昔からご飯は大大大大好きだったのですが、30代に入ったくらいの頃から持続可能な食や野菜を中心にした食に興味を持つようになり、ドイツに移ってからはイベントで料理をしたり、食関連のプロダクトも作ったり、仕事の一部になってきました。食べ物のおおもとの野菜を作るガーデニングも仕事になりつつあるので何かのご縁でしょう。

そんな中、特にラベリングや衛生面、流通などの知識を体系的に身に付けたくて、昨年講座が二期生を募集していたときに、和風ビーガンアイスを商品として作るというアイデアで応募したのでした。

まだまだ改善、検討、テストしなければいけないところはありますが、最後のマーケットテストではアイスクリームのカップにパッキングして商品としてお客さんに提供できました。

イースターのお休みはこの満足感を味わって、おやすみが開けたらまたがんばりたいです。
