Can love be bought?

Hi there, ladies and gentlemen of hivelearners. This edition contest topic is a very hot and interesting one titled "Money for love".

Well to answer the question I asked,in my opinion, I think live can be bought with money. We have all heard ,oh sorry, let me not generalize it by saying "we". I have seen instances where the love that existed in a or some kind of relationship(s) was based on money.

The other party benefiting the money in the kind of relationship I mentioned above will definitely do anything to keep it. The other party that has the money will think its love because the attention and affection is there. If the money in that relationship should disappear, the relationship might go sour.

That does not mean that all relationships are like that tho. I still believe there is true love with or without money being involved.

There is also a saying from a popular musician here in Nigeria, who goes by the name Davido. He sang a line like this " love is sweet o but when money enter, love is sweeter" The line somewhat became a yardstick some girls look out for before they get in a relationship.

This made broke guys nit to stand any chance at all when it comes to dating a girl, unless they fake it. You can be a fine boy, great body and all, but if the cash is missing, it lowers your chances of being in a relationship

Whereas you can be a guy who lacks looks and great body but if you got the money, girls will hover around you. So tell me, is money not buying love in situations like these?

That is why some guys joke around and say, its who has money that has a relationship.

This is not only limited to boy-girl dating kind of relationship, even friendships, some are base on money, if you are rich and influential, people will want to be your friend because it will benefit them in many ways but when the money is gone, they follow out the door with the money.
