Hello everyone, its a pleasure to be here again. On this episode contest, we are writing on our choice between shopping online and shopping physically.
If I want to have my way, I will still prefer both but I just have to pick one. Before making my selection, it is good we look at the pros and cons of online shopping as well as the pros and cons of physical shopping.
Which one should come first? Drum roll........ Let us do online shopping first.
It is really easy to shop online. You sit at the comfort of your house and with internet connection and a smart phone, you can shop around the world. You wouldn't need to step out.
There are times that I need some commodities but I feel so tired to go out to get them. Even if I have the energy sometimes, the weather might be really harsh in terms of hotness or coldness, but in my country, its always a harsh hot weather. Oh my goodness, most times, it is always a scorching sun. One can get ill from staying under that kind of sun for too long.
In cases like these, I just wish I can get that particular commodity online and have it delivered to my doorstep.
For the comfort of it most times, online shopping might be considered.
The cons of it are quite numerous, well at least in my opinion. First, if you do not have an internet connection, you can not shop online. Before I even bother with an internet connection, if you do not have a smart phone, laptop or tablet, shopping online might be impossible.
Furthermore, you have to have a bank account and a credit card to make purchases online. If you do not have any of those, again, it might be impossible.
Also, one can be easily scammed online. There have been several scenarios where people demand a full refund from an online vendor because of bad quality. It was a different quality that was used as an advert, but the item delivered was way below good quality. Therefore, buying stuffs online can be tricky.
This happened to me, I ordered for some spray bottles online 2020. My account was debited, till date, I have not gotten my spray bottles. Before now I tried reaching out to the vendor online but all access blocked.
Enough of online shopping,let's move on to physical shopping. You get to see, feel,try on what you are buying, which is great. You can't go wrong with sizing when you shop physically, which can happen when you shop online. You will also be able to examine the quality of what you will be buying.
With physical shopping too, you can your items quickly, because you get to go home with your items as soon as you are done shopping. No need for shipping or delivery. Cost efficient, isn't it.
There have been instances where the cost of shipping an item to my country is twice or three times more than the commodity I am buying. That's a turn off for me for online shopping.
The con with physical shopping is that it might be stressful. You might really struggle sometimes to get some item.
If I am to make my choice, I will still go for physical shopping, because I get to examine the quality and sizes and everything about what I will buying all by myself before payment. Also I do not need to wait long days for shipping or delivery. That's time efficient.
