There is something that a lot of people say, that money is a bastard! This is because, in the search for it, many people will find themselves doing things that they’d rather not do. On a good day, you won’t find them taking such decisions, but not when money is involved. People are willing to take drastic steps, risky moves just to make money to get by. People will be in professions that jeopardize their health and well-being, all because they need a meager amount.
That’s how bad the world is today, because if you don’t have any money, you don’t have anything. Basically, everything in life comes at a cost, except that you want to be breathing for a living, every other thing is paid for. Air is the only thing that God gave us that the powers that be have not tried to monetize. They’ve monetized land, sea, water, fire, trees… just name it! As in, there are places now that you need a permit before you can plant or uproot a tree. And as you know, anything permitted also means payment of a fee.

So, I really get it when people get desperate enough to sell the only thing of value that they have, their bodies. Because, as tragic as it might sound, you could have the best ideas in the entire world, you could have a plan that will change the world, but without money to even feed yourself or put a roof over your head, your great plan would take the back seat.
These days, we’ve seen men sell their sperm, women sell their eggs, and people sell their blood. And they get paid for it. But for these things, they’re quite easy to replace, which is why they’re not considered a crime. But when it comes to organ sales, the law frowns at that. Not just because of the risks involved, as in, if the procedure is done by a quack, it could place the lives of the donor and the patient at grave risk. And since most of such dealings are on the black market, the likelihood of meeting a quack is sky high.

But then, one of the main reasons organ sales will always be illegal is because of how easily they could be taken advantage of. People with power will force and intimidate those without it to sell their organs at dirt prices. So, when the rich can easily afford to buy as many organs as they like, what about the poor who have the same illnesses? What do they do? Also, it can be easy to bully people because of these, you won’t know people who genuinely want to sell, and those who are being coerced into it. Legalizing it will open a can of worms that we might never be able to contain.
Yeah, people have rights, but we’ve seen them take their rights a bit too far. People have used their right to speech to insult or defame others, and people have disregarded their right to life by committing suicide. There are those who will sell one kidney, squander the money, and try to sell the second one, even though that will be a very idiotic idea. But these things happen.
And this is why the governments take their time to put these laws in place to protect us from everyone else and from ourselves. That’s why attempting suicide is a crime, if you’re caught, you could be imprisoned. Suicide itself would also have been a crime, but dead men can’t be charged in court, can they? And thus, selling organs, even though by choice, even though it’s your body, would remain illegal. Because once it’s placed on the open market, everything will go downhill from there.
Well, we’ll be fine.

Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.

The desire to get money to solve problems can cause humans to go very extreme. Selling organs to those who need them isn't the bad thing, the approach to getting the organs but force, kidnapping, cheat and deceit is what has made it become totally illegal.
Even in hospitals, you'd go through several procedures before you get to donate or accept any organ.
Yeah... it's just a stressful process all round.
Indeed. There is not so many advantage of making organ trade legal. In long run it can be a threat for humanity. Such a thing should not be allowed to happen.
Yeah... it will be more of a disadvantage to the less privilege and the weak.
