Every love story start with friendship, you can't fall in love at first sight, people mistakes lust and infatuation for love, you may seem attracted to someone the first time you see them but when you get to know them, you realize they are not who you desire and sometimes it works perfectly, you are infatuated at first sight and you fall in love after getting to know them...
Romantic stories are very good to maintain a relationship and keep it healthy because it teaches us a lot of things, it teaches us about sacrifice, loyalty and how to show love to our partner...
As human we need to stir our heart, those romantic stories make us to have a resolution on what we want to do to our partners and what we never want to do, they enlighten us more on how relationship works even though they exaggerate it a bit but lessons are always there to learn...
Reminds me of a Novel i read, it had been long and i do not remember the title anymore but i really wish i can read the story again because it is so heart touching..
It was about a duke who gave birth to 3 girls and he ended up marrying each of them off to someone they do not love, the first 2 girls were able to cope in their matrimonial home but the last girl had it rough, being married to a narcissist made her world crumbled...
At the end, she had to go back to her father's house when she couldn't take the suffering anymore, when the duke saw his haggard looking daughter, he regretted ever forcefully marrying her off to who she does not like....
Stories like this teaches us alot and enlighten us on things that are right or wrong in a relationship.. Many people would be clueless about love and relationship without those romantic novels and movies...

Love, love, love!!! It makes our world go around indeed. You are right it starts with lust and infatuation. The term love at first sight is nice especially if the initial attraction turn into long lasting love.
yes it is nice if the attraction goes beyond that and end up becoming something lasting and beautiful and this is the reason why people confuse some for love at first sight, it is more of growing in love after likeness at first sight, thanks momo for the contribution!

You've written excellently on one aspect of romantic novels and movies which is the good effects it has on relationships. I have equally learnt a lot from it. Back then I used to have a book where I wrote down quotes and good morals I learnt from romantic movies and my brother would come to me often for relationship advice 😂 However, I can't ignore the fact that a lot of things we read may not really work in reality if we adopt them so we have to be careful about what we allow to sink into us.
