I will definitely ban Snapchat

In a world where communication and information technology are the order of the day social media has become the new normal more so because it is a source of income for both developers and users and everyone is happy.

There is the good and positive sides of social media and while some people are using it to their advantage some are using it to their disadvantage and I will explain.

We have seen people who have developed them selves posting videos or certifications of skills acquired which has led to gainful employment and also development and growth of some business.

However in the flip side some people may think that are using it to their advantage now but in reality they are at a serious disadvantage.

In a sexualized world we now see a lot of girls making nude videos of them selves on various social media apps just to earn money viewers and become influencers in one way or the order.

A lot of them end up becoming popular but in doing so they loose them selves in the process they become morally bankrupt here's the catch many of them only think of the present forgetting or not being careful that the Internet never forgets.

We have seen cases of people who wanted to do somethings and other people brought out something they have posted before and it automatically disqualify them for such things.

Fake life is ravaging a lot of young people with the social media syndrome of fake it till you make it now and this is one problem people now have, the way they look on social media and the life they actually live are worlds apart.

Social media trends have also allowed a lot of people not to think properly anymore they want to jump on every challenge here and there and it has reduced the average intellectual capacity of many young people.

Further more social media has now made a lot of people have the get rich quick mentality that is making them to do whatever they can to cash out sooner than later.

In response to hive learners writing prompt for the first edition of this week and the above reasons I have stated if I have the power to barn any social media it will be Snapchat.

More so for the fact that the platform has a good majority of its user base as youths and merely looking at the app you will think it's just to take photos but beyond that people can send streaks of various nonsense that they do for people to see.

The platform is pretty complex for some adults to understand and that's why it has become a safe space for a lot of young people to live out their social fantasies

It annoys me sometimes when people just take their phones and take snaps of you then add some ridiculous sounds 😂😂 and filters which will make you look only God knows how.

Not also forgetting that one can become lost in scrolling endlessly watching streaks and videos due to the release of dopamine.

Like I said in the early part of this post social media has its advantages and I can't say Snapchat is all bad but taking it out for me will do this generation a lot of good what do you think about that.
