FAMILY OR HOME RETIREMENT LET'S CHECK OUT THEIR BENEFITS

Retirement whether home or family is good and depends on ones condition and consideration. Initially we have heard of homes like orphanage, etc whose responsibility is to ensure that the motherless and fatherless are properly taken care off. Presently we have homes that cater for the aged and those who have retired from work even though i haven't seen such homes in my beautiful country but hopefully one day it will become a reality here.

Retirement is part of life that one must prepare for it. Many times people become laxity and fail to plan their lives very when they had sufficient capacity and resources instead mismanage everything.
The topic seems to have two different view however either way is ok for me. Home retirement or family is good depending on the individual and planed resources.
In this post I would like to discuss both of them.

Retiring at home has lots of significant to everyone that has value for individual that are familiar with their environment. These advantages aren't limited to this but to share little.

• Retirement at home enables one to have independence and sustain it in terms of freedom, autonomy which will create a positive effect in one's mindset or mental capacity.
• Home retirement makes individual to stay acquainted to the surrounding or environment. You will be connecting to what goes on the environment such as memories, family, some friends as well. When you work and retire in such place, you become more use to people around and relate with them easily.
• In terms of home care services. Home retirement provides an avenue where an individual could receive care and support from the family members or caregivers which would help to sought any health need of such individuals.
• Retirement at home could also help to curb expenses unnecessarily. Such individuals would receive adequate attention because such homes are actually made and known to be service providers of such things.
• Home retirement could easily boost the health status of the retiree because the service provider would engage such an individual in other activities that would give a quantum leap to the retiree. Some routine activities could be created and exercises to keep fit the body of such person.
• One of the benefits again is in the area of safety and guarantee of serenity because the home is a specialised place where those things done. There are professional that are saddle with the responsibility of care giving. When you are in such environment certainly you would enjoy peace of mind , comfort.

Family retirement on the other hand is the kind of retirement that hinges on family-centered retirement. Some of the benefits include;

• Family members can be responsible for the caregiving and other financial input. Everything revolves around the family. It's the family that take charge of everything in terms of welfare and other management.
• There is also an emotional support from people which brings balance to the retiree. It would also reduce the feeling of being lonely.
  I could remember vividly my late uncle. Before his demise, he was a retired senior officer from the state civil service commission where he rose to the rank of director of primary Health care. He was staying at home with us. We were the ones taking care of him even when he finally got terribly ill. The family was also there for him, to pick him and bath him. Sometimes when he sees us, he is so happy because his children have advanced in life pursuit. Even on the sick bed, it was the family that took care of everything.

The issue of retirement is just like two sides of a coin. Whether its home or family both have their valid significance that can't be overlooked.
