I think it's the same case for many people today because many of us lost interest in listening to the news due to the manipulative attitude of News agencies and even bloggers.
Our parents tried making it a habit for us but it didn't just work and while writing my entry for the prompt, I thought about the fact that news back then were equally lies but we didn't have means of verifying, we believe them.
It's different now that we have the internet and about X, it takes time to find out the real information. Whenever I am keen on knowing the truth, I don't hesitate to surf X.
Oh, yes. News back then may not have been true for most of the time, but I think we have it worse now with social media. God help us. But we are able to check ourselves now. The sad part is that people don't do their own research. I've been guilty myself, even.
