A Tale of Protecting Family Against All Odds

In life there are people so close to us we care about more than ourselves and to protect them we do every possible thing. Those people are family and in a worse possible situation one who think is the weakest can find strength when the matter is about protecting the loved one's.

I have never expected to going through a moment when I've to go to great lengths just to make sure no one can say or harm my family but it's life and I've been through a situation not long ago and something I still feel proud today.

The arrival of new neighbors

It's about couple of years ago when I used to live in my hometown and right beside our house there was this abandoned house and the owner cameback after years to reconstruct it.

I was happy that I'll get to meet someone new who will live right next to my house.

Well, the construction began and everything was going good but then one-day I wake up with some loud conversation voice coming from outside and it was my grandma talking with that owner to stop digging into our side of house wall.

they wanted to build that house into our boundary like legally that land belongs to us, they had enough space to build their house in their own land but they wanted some pillars and dig the way to move in and out from our side of space.

The land owner thought he can play dirty

My grandma was arguing with him that this boundary lies in our place, you can construct or do whatever you want in your side but don't harm our place.

I woke up the moment conversation was about to become heated into a fight as that land owner thought she's an old lady and can scare her if he talk out loud.

He was a man of my father age and I've been told manners my whole life and than I meet this man.. talked to him and was telling me this area is also ours, do whatever you want I'm building it there.

I stood there and told him to think about what you're trying to do, I'll just call police and they'll put you behind the bars since you're one on the wrong side of this entire matter.

I was like 19 years old back then and this guy thought I'm some kid.. the moment he disrespected my grandma like was about to harm out of anger and ego.. it was enough, I literally took the cricket bat and smashed till someone pushed me away, luckily I didn't caused harmed.. he was still safe and sound.

That was first time I became aggressive to protect the one I care and love more than anything and felt like I went on a war.

Well after that the other neighbors around us got involved and they found out he was trying to take advantage of us thinking there's just this old lady and can do whatever he wants on my property... So, after all he had to built it in his own property outside ours and later he apologized to my grandma and that was when I realized that I can do anything to protect my loved ones.

Wrapping Up...

In the end it was that moment when I did realized that there are people who want to take advantage of other like they've the right to do it and and can even harm for their benefit.

I learnt to stood for myself and promised myself to make my family feel safe and protect from them. I guess we all can go to great lengths to do it.
