So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on our second topic for this week which is “A CHILD’S RESPONSIBILITY.”

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “A CHANGED CHILD.” This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about the levels of support they would be able to give to their children who chose to deviate from the path already laid out for them.

We got to see that no matter our interests as parents, children will always want to forge their own path and it's our duty to help and support them in whatever it is that they choose. Even though it won't be easy to accomplish.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w113e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.

Featured Contents

CHILDREN'S IDENTITY EXPLORATION AND THE IMPORTANCE OF PARENTAL SUPPORT by @xlety

This author shared her story with us. She gave us an idea of what support should be like when it came to family, because it was needed for everyone to feel loved and free enough to be able to say whatever was on their minds. It's through unconditional support that true love is shown.

RAISING FREE SPIRITS: WHEN KIDS CHANGE THEIR STRIPES by @nhaji01

For this author, she told us about how bad it could be when parents refuse to respect the choices their kids make. Trying to force them to do our bidding will only make things worse for everyone involved in the long run. There will always be better ways to pass a message across than imposing our will on the children.

DISCONNECT TO CONNECT @rosecane

This author reminded us that no matter how hard we tried, no matter our best efforts, there will always be a time when our kids will be ready to leave home and quite possibly leave the path we set for them. We're meant to leave them to make their choices and in the end do our best to support them.

All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. The first 3 authors will receive 100 ECENCY Points [ Sponsored By Ecency Team (@melinda010100) ] and 1 Hive SBI each as a reward next Monday. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all.

But then, we have some honorable mentions which are listed below:

Honorable Mention

OVERCOMING LIMITING BELIEFS: BUILDING CONFIDENCE FOR SUCCESS by @bhattg

A CALL TO SELF REFLECTION by @hopestylist

IT'S ALL GOOD AS LONG AS… by @shawnnft

These are posts that were also found to be quite exceptional as well.

AND NOW, WE MOVE ON TO THE NEW TOPIC!

Week 113 - Edition 03 Topic

A CHILD'S RESPONSIBILITY

*“It's no news that most children these days are raised with the idea that they are meant to take care of their parents when they're old, regardless of their financial capabilities. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it's fair for the young ones to be saddled with such responsibilities? Do you think the parents deserve to have someone care for them just as they cared for the children for so many years? What are you doing in preparation for your own old age?”
