So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on our first topic for this week which is “SHEER INTELLIGENCE.”

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “A CHILD'S RESPONSIBILITY.” This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about their thoughts with regards to children taking care of their aged parents.

While it could be a tasking endeavor, considering how financially heavy it would be, many agreed that it was the least a child could go for parents who had most likely sacrificed a lot to see them grow into fully functioning adults. It was an enlightening topic indeed.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w113e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.

This author told us that it's only right for the old to be taken care of by those they raised. A lot of people find it hard to take care of their parents these days and it's a culture that needs to be nipped in the bud before it takes hold.

For this author, he shared with us the impact that bearing the burden of taking care of the family placed on him. While it's something that's commendable, the idea of raising kids with the sole purpose of them taking care of you in your old age can be quite limiting.

RETURNING THE FAVOR @shawnnft

This author told us that taking care of our aged parents should not be seen as a chore, but a duty. It can also be seen as a payback for everything they had done to get us to where we are today.
