Creative Sunday Experiment: My DIY Bundle Dyeing Process

Happy Sunday guys, today is another creative Sunday, and I decided to try something different but yet educational. Yeah, it's Christmas, and everyone is expected to get busy with anything that would be an addition to their beauty game, be it hair making, revamping, stretching, or buying already wigged hairs, and lots more.

I decided to just change my bundle from the dull brown color it was having to a mixture of two colours. I decided to just add a highlight of gold to it for that eye-catching blend.

I took pictures of the process for my creative Sunday because I believe there are others who might want to transform their wig or bundle but don't know the process of dyeing it to another color. I just believe this might be helpful. Below are what and the steps I used.

Items:

Hair dye, color depends on the color of dye you want. I used gold.

_Developer _

Mixing bowl

Brush or hand gloves

Nylon or carton

Steps:

First: I brushed the wig bundles neatly to avoid tangling for easier application of the dye.

After which I mixed the dye. I added the gold in a bowl and added the developer and turned it so it became smooth.

The application part was the most exciting. I wanted the gold to be highlighted, so there was a method I used. I divided where I wanted the highlight to touch and applied the dye on it. I continued till I finished, leaving the rest to remain the initial color.

After the whole application, I had to leave it for like 20 minutes to process properly. You don't have to let it overstay to avoid the hair having a burnt coloration.

After 20 minutes, I washed it with cold water. It's advisable to rinse it off properly. Once the water is clean, then you can set it under the sun to dry.

Then the end result was brown with gold highlight. It came out just exactly how I wanted it.
