Kindness can be liberating and we are been lifted to lift others up.

You can never imagine how a single act of kindness can be so impactful and liberating, not just for the person who has been assisted, but how much this can spread like wildfire to impact other people. I have forgotten where I heard the statement about allowing our circle of love to grow.

This can be applied to kindness too. If you happen to receive love from someone, be willing to reciprocate such love to another person, and we could form and grow a circle of love. The fact that I love you and accompany you doesn't mean that there won't be space in my heart for another person. We could love each other and share the same measure of love within ourselves. This should be the case with kindness too. If it weren't for the help I have received from a lot of people, both offline and online, I wouldn't have made it this far in life.

Since my early childhood days, I have witnessed a lot of people stretching their hands of kindness towards me. It first started with one kind woman I had met, Mr. Florence Onyejekwe (I feel so proud calling her name today). She gave me a scholarship to study microbiology at the university when she noticed that I could read scriptures well in church and had sound knowledge of language, yet without academic qualifications. With her help, I was able to get a university degree. She secured my admission to school at age 21, and that was how my journey started. Guess what? She has single-handedly given scholarships to several other students who are now graduates and living their good lives.

In church, she was giving some due honor, and eventually she has one of the largest and leading high schools within Ilorin. Her life has inspired me so much that it is part of my goal to own a charity school where I can educate and empower people for free. With her help, I was able to secure a free university degree and knowledge.

While in school, I had the privilege to meet another beautiful soul in the person of my bestie, who took me into their family house when I was stranded and having challenges with accommodations. Since I couldn't afford the hostel fees, I was occasionally sleeping in the classrooms to cut down on the transportation costs of going home every day. Her mom invited me to their home, and I found shelter in their abode. Food was not a problem anymore as they both fed, clothed, and sheltered me, and guess what? As a lady, I had the privilege to occasionally wear my friends clothes to school (we ladies wear each other clothes not for showoff but as a sign of friendship, love, and kindness).

What did I do after receiving such kindness? Becoming a graduate afterwards empowered me to be able to assist others. I feel for students who are struggling in higher institutions. With the little connection I got, I was also able to secure university admissions for other people, who also got the privilege to attend and graduate school via the little assistance I was able to render. I have assisted students with stipends and provisions for school because I understood what it means to receive help, all thanks to Mrs. Florence, who opened her door to me, and my friend's family, who took me in.

Replicating that kindness to other people I have had two of my friends go stranded because of the distance from their work place to their residential home. When a young girl closes her door at midnight from duty and has nowhere else to sleep, it won't feel right for me to close my door against her, knowing how insecure this town can be. I have taken in about 2–3 people who are currently living with me in my small apartment because of this challenge.

Everyone has to work to make a living, and if there are no other jobs out there they could do to have some earnings other than the rigorous ones they are into, I have no choice but to be kind enough to open my door to these friends who close really late from work.
My apartment is such a cozy one, not large enough to house as many people, and within the estate, I have had issues with neighbors who feel that I am putting their lives at risk by opening the gate to the compound at that time of the night. Up until now,

I am yet to reach an agreement with my neighbors, who desire that I ask my friends to vacate my place because of their own selfish reasons and unwillingness to assist or bear with my friends. I know what it means to be stranded after work or even to work a job for over 15 hours daily. Having my house in close proximity to their place of work has been a blessing, considering that they cannot afford their own apartments yet.

The circle of help and kindness I have received continues in that linear pattern. After school, I had the privilege of meeting a beautiful soul who blessed me with the gift of hive blockchain. Securing a job after school proved abortive, and the hive came as a blessing, where I started and furthered my career pursuit. From here, I was able to learn about blockchain and purchase some sewing machines to empower myself with the earnings from blogging and equipment, and life began to make sense.

And guess what? I have lost count of the number of people I have onboarded who have been equally impacted by the blockchain. I have met a lot of people who have directed their careers in the right direction. Being able to be their guide on the blockchain here, patiently directing them on what to do rightly, has been my own little way of giving back to people the help I have received from others.
These people who have received help from me have equally invited their friends, and that chain of kindness has led many other people here. Being on the #hive blockchain can bless anyone; if not financially, their intellectual, moral, and creative minds can open up from sticking around communities. Besides, there is a network of great potential here that people can benefit from.

The most recent encounter was when I met the kind medical doctor whom fate sent my way to watch over my health. Over time, I could remember the series of constant hospitalizations and how much I spent on each occasion. But with some help, I now enjoy the benefits of free consultation and health care. The expensive visitation to the hospital has been cut down, and some of my close friends have also received treatment from our dearest doctor. He didn't hesitate to render help to my sick friends, who were also in need. I can't really say what is on the mind of this doctor or why he chose to help me and my friends, but every day I also pray that he also finds the help he needs and desires.

Looking back, I can see just how much my life wouldn't have made any meaning or progress if I didn't get the needed assistance from all these kind people. I wouldn't have gotten a university degree if not for Mrs. Florence, and maybe I would have ended up as some stree girl.I was equally able to assist others, having received such a large measure of assistance. Now I can rightly say that a single act of kindness can liberate the world if we allow the circle to grow.
