One thing is very clear today, in our country, getting a job after completing your education is a difficult task. Suppose, when a boy or girl completes BBA or MBA, they spend about eighteen months or more looking for a job. Again, engineering and medicine seem to be higher level education systems, but they also have to stand on the same line when it comes to jobs. Many have to wait longer than this.
But after this long wait, are they getting jobs according to their qualifications? In most cases no. Often they are forced into jobs of a much lower grade than they are qualified for. It is same in both public and private sector. If we talk about government jobs, in our country only 4 out of every 100 people get government jobs. Again you have to wait for about 32 years to get another government job. But waiting these 32 years is not realistic for many, because of the various pressures around them.
Meanwhile, in private jobs, most of the time the pay is low. Now a situation has arisen that many companies are not able to pay salaries on time. Due to this situation, many are now turning to various types of business during their studies.
Speaking from my experience, this is indeed a commendable trend. Because in today's job market it is really difficult to get the right quality job with qualifications.
Once the freelancing market was booming. People of different ages jumped into freelancing, especially during the Corona period. Many have entered this profession by taking various courses hoping to earn from home, and some have been successful. But over time the freelancing market has also become like the job market. Where once a job required $50, it can now be done for $5. As a result, competition increased and wages fell.
Seeing these challenges in the current market, many people are now leaning towards starting their own business. In my opinion, this is a really good plan. Because starting something on your own, even on a small scale, is much more effective than doing a private job. Here you don't need permission from others to work, you are the master of your own business.
There is a reason for writing this blog. In my spare time I watch various videos on Facebook. Now it has become a big bad habit of mine. I saw that now many students are doing small scale business on the side of the road with different kinds of food courts besides their studies. A university boy and girl are selling their home cooked food in plate form. People like to eat. And their business is going very well. This is what got me thinking. From this time he is doing business along with studies, they are gaining two types of experience together. By doing this, they will have the courage to do bigger business in the future.
A friend of mine from school life started working as a customer representative in a car showroom after completing his graduation. After about a year and a half, the company terminated him as the company was making losses, after which he did not get any other job. It's been 2 months since he himself opened a store of stylish hats and shirts and pants for boys and also opened an online page in the name of his shop where he is selling the clothes of his shop. After speaking, I came to know that he is getting very good response and the sales are going very well. One thing he said was that it was very peaceful and relaxing to work. He is with his family, he is opening the shop like time every day, he is spending time on the online page in his free time. And his family is also quite happy about it.
This freedom of business and the satisfaction of doing something on your own initiative is much more valuable than any job. You can work on your own terms, set your own goals according to the time. Whether it's an online shop, drop shipping, or something like e-commerce, it's possible to start small and gradually scale up.
That is why, I encourage these bold steps of the present generation. Through this we can move towards self-reliance and over time we can achieve greater things with our own skills and experience.
What I mean by this article is to have the courage and confidence to do business. Whether the start is small or big, you have to jump into the task with confidence in yourself. Because at the end of the day being your own business owner is a great experience and that's where the road to success lies.
