Robot Maids, Cooks & Nannies: Yay or Nay?

Everyone today loves soft life. Aside those people that believe that a well lived life is one where one has to suffer from dawn till dusk, you’d agree with me that when life is easier everything is better. All these struggles we go through day and night are for one purpose which is to live a comfortable life but as it stands, everyone has their own definition of comfort. For someone, comfort is just having all that they want while doing their house chores on their own and for another person, comfort may mean having maids or even robots do their chores for them while they relax at home. It’s subjective.

With the advancement of technology, we have moved all the way from hanging on top of trees to make phone calls to having internet and then to having robots help us around with stuff. That’s evolution and we as humans have indeed made use of the knowledge and resources God has given to us at our disposal. We have been able to make something out of what we have which would serve as so many purposes. Most people are totally against the whole concept of Ai and robotics and that’s fine. But as for me, I’m totally for it because it’s made my life more easier. Not that I’m a lazy person, but for someone who has a lot to do on the daily basis, I sure wouldn’t mind some help. So yes, let’s get those robots or whatever that will make my life easier.

Once, I was in an airport in the western world and I was surprised to see a robot vacuuming the place. There was no need to have multiple people cleaning the place with brooms and all while travelers were busy trying to find their flights or bags. It would have been be very chaotic. I get that you’d say that all these technologies are making people unemployed but we all saw these things coming and those that didn’t want to be unemployed stayed on top of their game. That’s life.

I for one wouldn’t mind having a robot handling my my house chores and some stuff around the house for me. It would be a lot more easier to have someone help me with the dishes while I cook and more so, someone who wouldn’t annoy me. But when it comes to cooking my meals and taking care of my kids, I’d rather do that on my own because these are very delicate stuff to me.

I haven’t had a robot do my dishes or wash my clothes for me before and so I wouldn’t know if it can do it to the degree that I want. But it’s always good to give its producers the benefit of the doubt. After all, it’s just a machine to help me and so if it can’t meet my standards I can as well do away with it the same way I got it. I do need my life to be easier but do this robot is going to mess thing up the more , I’d rather not have it because I was already doing stuff on my own before I got it.
