My Holiday Kickoff

in Hive Learners13 days ago

The Christmas holiday season is near. A time to pause from the hustles and bustles of life and unwind, recharge, and reconnect with family and friends. While some people seize this end-of-the year holiday to rest from work and catch up with other life activities, some people use the holiday to finish up every pending work at hand and keep working hard and planning for the coming year.

It's even a common practice for firms and establishments to give their workers some time to relax and come back feeling refreshed for better productivity. However, life is a choice, and lots of factors could contribute to people's decisions. So whichever way anyone chooses to spend this holiday is up to the person as long as we achieve our individual goals.

As for me, my holiday is kicking off just before Christmas. Sometimes in November, I sat down and drafted my plans for the coming year. It's a kind of having a blueprint of how my next year should be structured, taking a lot of things into consideration. I have been working both off-chain and online, and while I have slowed down with my off-chain work, trying to round up and have my needed rest and catch up, I will keep publishing on Hive, especially sharing my holiday experience with you all. Most especially, I plan to spend this holiday with my family and friends, in-laws, childhood friends, etc.

It's been 3 years since I traveled to my hometown, and this year, I already ticked that off my bucket list and have been preparing, getting things ready for this movement. There's no doubt that this year Christmas holiday for me is going to be different. Firstly, my mum escaped from the kidnappers den in October this year, and as a family, we are planning for Thanksgiving and a celebration of life for my mum on the 29th of this month. Of course, most of our relatives I haven't seen for a long time already promised to be at the mini event, and I am optimistic that it's going to be a fun moment with my family and relatives with lots of catching up. Indeed, there are so many butterflies in my belly already, and I am literally counting the days to this holiday season.

For this holiday, I plan to attend some festivals in my hometown, and I plan to go along with my friends, having nice moments alongside them. I am already anticipating loads of fun. If time permits me, attending the reunion of our class of 2013 will be awesome too. It will be a good opportunity to meet my classmates at the university and talk about life.

Finally, Christmas holiday wouldn't be complete without having nice meals. So I am planning on a special meal and dessert for me and my family, in-laws, cousins, and others. While we keep connecting together, a nice meal will be great for the season, and it makes sense to merry together, creating a fun and memorable experience.

Add masquerade festival to your list of festivals ooo. It's always lit! When I'm in the east, I always make sure that I don't miss it! Also, the reunion would be a great idea. It's always great to see old friends.

This year was kind of average for me. Didn't achieve too much again and didn't lose too much. I didn't think about the new year plan yet. But it seems you already planned for it. I just hope everything will go as you planned.

Thanksgiving for your mom is a great one because it is worth thanking God for. Her safety is just miracle. Glory be to God.
