YOUR ONBOARDER CAN NOT TELL YOU "ALL" THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HIVE || WHAT THEN IS REQUIRED OF YOU?

Just as the title implies, if you are relying only on the information gotten from your hive onboarder to excel here, then I think, you might be wrong. This is because hive is too broad, a lot to discover and it takes much of your personal effort to know more about hive system.

I have come across some hivers complaining of lack of content ideas, lack of growth, reward, followers, and the rest, some will even ask you, which community should engage, all join...lolz Well, I was once on that table but not anymore, there is a shift in my mindset. The truth is that you will continue to see hive as a strange land if you fail to do the needful from your end. I haven't arrived anywhere yet in this Blockchain, but when I look back at my early beginning and compare the knowledge I have now about hive, I smile....at least, there is a little progress.

20220815_123858_0001.png

I have come to realize that for you to achieve growth/success in anything you find your hands doing, you may need to leave your comfort zone, stretch yourself, and sacrifice your time and energy for you to achieve your heart's desires. The last time I checked, success does not come by complaining, action is needed for us to see the light of success in our lives. I reflected on some of the silly questions I asked my onboarder then and, and my attitude towards hive at the beginning, and I kept laughing at myself. Yes, you may be lucky as I am to have an onboarder who has good knowledge (not all) about hive but if you are determined to grow, you wouldn't depend only on the knowledge of one person but rather explore and have more self-discovery.

image.png

WHAT IS REQUIRED OF YOU...

  • Explore: There are 100+ communities in hive blockchain with lots of content published daily, don't just be a writer only, be a reader as well. The more you explore different communities and different authors, the more you add knowledge to yourself. Trust me, you can't engage very well without learning a new thing that will assist you in your hive journey, of course, I am talking out of the experience. You too can try this path...there is a lot to discover about hive and until you tour around, you may not grab other hidden treasures in hive.

  • Make friends: I have said this before that good friend are the shortcut to your success. You need people to succeed. Some knowledge I have now as a hiver came through good friends I met in this Blockchain and I can't trade them for gold. Information is power 👌, good info received today from people can change your life for good, so make friends, good ones with similar vision and hold them tight.

  • Ask questions: If you are hungry for success, then you don't have to close your mouth or be ashamed to ask questions. Even if it's a silly question, ask and grab the knowledge you need. Most of my hive friends can attest to this about me...I am so curious most times 😍, I ask questions and always run to those that know better than me when needed.

The other day, I was discussing with my onboarder about hive and I shared my findings with him, wow... he was so impressed to hear of many things I know already. Some of them, he wasn't even aware of and in his words, he said he is very proud of me for not relenting but making good of the opportunity presented to me. Well, whether Hive is your part-time job or full-time, your little effort can push you to some little growth, the ball is in our hands to some extent.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR VISITING MY BLOG

Honestly i love your points nkem, Hive is not just about dropping post here and there, engagement and exploration is one of the key to success on this platform, we need to engage with others to draw their attention to our blog and we also need to explore to get more ideas on how things work on the blockchain...

The friendship part is also very important, how are we going to get connected with the right person without making friends, it is someone that know someone that know someone who has the power to help us grow.. it is friends that have ideas and it is also friends with the same mindset and goals that inspire us to become a better version of ourself...

Big kudos to you! this is help a lot of users getting confused on why they are not growing as they expected on the platform❣️

I agree with you, @prayzz once mentioned that hive is not a dumping refuge where you just drop your post and come back in few hours expecting miracles to happen.. lolz
In Facebook, it's common but here... you really need to do the needful before seeing result.

What a great insight about the importance of making good circle of friends in hive...you just dissected this part and if reblogging a comment is possible 😂, I would have done that so that many eyes can see this point..lolz

Wow... for all the compliments, a big thanks to you burl👍😍👏

 last year

yes. am so disappointed in some set of people, some have spare time[probably like an hour or two to post] but they can't spare 30 minutes to read others blog and drop a comment, you will hear excuse like i am very busy and i just find time to post, oh well that time you spare to post, don't post use it to engage and if it is months later you have time for post and engagement do it, infact if you don't post and always engage with others, people will ask you. why are you not posting and that is because they want to engage with you too but some people just want the money, they don't want to put in the extra effort needed.......

I would admit in the past, i don't engage on the hive platform itself but i do on discord and other places where we have hiveans... that is engagement too..... just make friends.. connection is very important... Very very important...

Recently i got an offer and it was thanks to a friend that knows a friend who knows a friend that needs what i have to offer and that was how i got it.....that is how long the friendship chain can go....

........................ i salute you for this post again nkem

Thanks

You are welcome.

You've basically answered all the questions I've been asking, starting so promising and then seeing things become so bleak, I've almost lost hope. But this has given me the chance to do some self appraisal and analyze my mindset.
Thanks friend for not relenting to dispense information on things that help all of us, when you could have chosen to withhold information.
Always happy reading your content, because benefitting from it is inevitable.
Thank you once again.🌼🌺😊

I love to hear this amazing feedback from you my friend 👍😊. Most people here in hive didn't find it so easy at the beginning, however all we need is the right information and action for our gradual growth 👌

Thank you so much for visiting
I really appreciate you 🤗❤️😍

Lucky you to have an onboarder to go back and ask questions. Yes, he may not know all the answers, but with his time and experience could point you in the right direction. I see some of us getting discouraged for lack of attention, and having most of our publications ignored or silenced. Finding the right path for one's unique talents and personality is a challenge that takes time and patience. On the bright side, seems like exploring the continuous flow of new publications help us understand what is going on, or at least gives us the opportunity to ask questions.

seems like exploring the continuous flow of new publications help us understand what is going on,

Yes...it's one of the best way to understand hive more.... and in all our efforts,. Patience and consistency is also needed 👍👌

You have said it all ma'am, this can also be related to our academic life. If you depend on what your lecturers teach you only, then you won't become one of the scholars in your department.

You need to do more research and learn more, likewise on Hive, everyone is learning, and the borders too are learning.

Thank you for imparting knowledge

Do you know a lady I invited here on Hive who would ask if I know about this, she has gone far knowing more than me and I was impressed that day because I can see my efforts weren´t in vain onboarding her. This is what I love compared to those always coming to ask one thing or the other and you will wonder if such a person actually is interested in it.

I haven't known all about Hive too but I am happy with the progress I am making. I am not someone who will keep asking questions but find out myself. Hive is a big place where you can´t know everything. There are things I am getting to know myself recently and I am already moving to two years on this platform. One just has to be dedicated to exploring and from there, you keep learning alongside.

 last year

Exactly, one can't know everything...even oldbies in hive still have a lot to discover....any one serious with his or her growth really needs explore and find new things.
Glad to hear that the person you onboarded is doing well
That's the joy of it my dear 😍

It´s the joy oo. Good morning ma.

Making friends on hive is very important because everyone of them will have different Ideas and information you can get from them and when you connect will them you sure going to learn from them and soar higher from there.

I could remember some days back when I was asking my team leader for newbie intivative about something and after he answered I thanked him and he said we are all learning and I sure do reason with him because no matter how long you have stay on hive you will sure continue to learn because you can’t get to know everything on this blockchain because it’s like a world.

 last year

Exactly mercy...we are all learning and still learning, however getting new ideas from friends can do a lot of wonders 👍🤗🥰

What's the essence of being here on hive without making friends? It will be so boring and you might get frustrated in the long run. The few friends I've made here made it more fun for me.

Exactly 💯
Friends means alot to our hive growth
You are doing well Glory dear👏

Thanks for dropping by to read👏👍😘😍

You're a darling. Your article is a guide to me. As a newbie, many things looks strange to me. And I know that I will get use of the platform one day. Thanks for your advice

 last year

Sure...it will look strange at the beginning but the more you remain consistent here, the more things becomes more clearer
Thanks for dropping by and I wish you good luck in your hive journey 👍

This right here, has to be spread all across the ecosystem. People, particularly newbies, need to hear this.

I haven't been here for long, not even longer than seven months, but I testify to all that you have said here.

My onboarder is good. I mean, he is a big time mentor here. He taught me so much, and I learned a lot. But really, at the end of the day, most of what I know is owed to my research, curiousity, and observations. My onboarder can never teach me enough, not to talk of everything, on the things I need to know to thrive here on Hive.

One just has to, by oneself, dabble one's feet into the many many aspects of have to actually have first hadn experience that will take one really far. Otherwise, one would just suffer stagnation and end up wondering what went wrong in the first place.

You have hit the nail on the head ma.
Thank you and well done!

 last year

Wow... honestly, I sat down and reflected on my journey so far, and how I was always running to my onboarder without stretching myself to know more via research at the beginning..then I smiled... glad I broke out of that mentality and I want anyone that thinks like me then to change from such mentality as well and thus this post m

Glad you liked it
Thanks for your feedback 😉

yes ... congratulations on your success in hive.
I'm sahlana a new pendang in hive

I'm new to hive.

I wonder how anyone plan to survive in a might ocean as hive with the help of one source of advice. Our onboarders main duty is to give us guidance when he or she sees we need one but then the main duty lies with us.

You have stated the most important way to strive here, exploring, making friends and asking questions these are the only way to grow well here on Hive. If course there are some that are lucky to be brought in by whales and they don't struggle too much but then, it will surely come to a time when they will wish they could be like others who are not as lucky as themselves.

Making research by ourselves can be hard but then it produces a very good result in the long run.

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful piece with us ambassador, it is really informative.

 last year

This babe😘😂, how did you find this my almost old post...Mrs explorer 😂😂😂😂.....not really surprised any way... newbies should just learn from you and they won't be blind here... lolz

My dear...one source of advice isn't wise... until we stretch ourselves to know more, we might remain stagnant unless for those onboarded by whales like you mentioned if not, embracing these 3 points can make a little different.

Thanks so much for visiting always...you are appreciated 🥰👍

That is great to see you have progressed so far and that you are sharing your findings here. Keep up the good work on your Hive journey! !CTP !ALIVE

Many thanks my friend for your kind words 👍🤗

It took me a year to get to that point, but indeed read, explore and engage!

 last year

That's the goal and the right way here 👍

This is why I find it hard to really onboard anyone these days. Hive can't be covered with mere words. It needs time and patience and total dedication to discover and even find what works for you. You are doing absolutely well Nkem! Came in from Dreemport.

 last year

Honestly it takes patience and dedication to discover a lot. I just wish that people will see it in this aspect and begin to do the needful
Thanks for your nice comment 👍🤗🥰

Always a pleasure

 last year

This is one reason.. I don't onboard folks... because many of them are less patient.... I popped in through dreemport

It's quite understandable ☺️
