March in review: A month filled with memories.

Hello, everyone.

Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. The month of March was filled with so many memories, from the Christians lenting season and Muslim Ramadan fasting. We all had fun going through this season, with everyone complaining about how draining and stressful it was. We also experienced serious inflation, which did wonders; it was so bad that the price of goods in the morning differs from the price at night. All in all, we came out fighting, though the inflation made it look like we were going to lose our minds. In March, the price of goods kept leaving people amazed. How much is this? After you hear the price, the next thing that comes out of your mouth is waw.

They blamed the naira-dollar exchange rate, but now it is funny how the naira is gaining on the dollar, but the prices of goods and services are still fixed, and in some stores, they are still going high. March was filled with a lot of memories, some good and some bad, but all in all, it was a good month and a few goals were achieved. The year 2024 is slowly becoming a thing of the past. We all need to start working to achieve our goals for the year. Many people feel there is still time, but before you know it, we are bidding farewell to 2024.

In February, my school was shut down as a result of the student riot that took place on the 6th of February. Many students traveled home, while some of us decided not to go home and enjoy the serenity of the school environment with very few people around, as well as running away from house chores. The environment was flooded with military and police men to help calm the situation down and protect lives and properties, but as always, these military men need a small opportunity to show their power.

They made life a little difficult for students like myself who did not travel back home, limited our movement, and placed a curfew. If seen outside past 9 p.m, you will be severely punished. This made running our hobby. Once you see people running, just run with them, ask questions later, and make sure you run in the same direction as them. Don't wait to see what is chasing them, that is the principle we were now living by. This continued until March, but in March it took a different turn. I lost count of how many times we joined people in a race, and in the end, nothing was chasing them 😂, but we don't regret it. Safety first.

In March, the military started raiding apartments and arresting people, especially boys, for nothing. When you try to argue with them, they say you are among those who vandalized school properties. Two apartments close to mine were raided, and I did not wait to be told how much I am loved at home. I packed my bag and left. I got home, and the fun did not stop. I hung out with friends a few times, though I hardly do that at home, but I did in March. I got home and, as usual, it was from one activity to another.

A week before Easter was tagged as holy week, and we almost slept in church. From Monday until Saturday, we spent at least 3 hours in church. On Thursday, it was tagged washing of feet, just like Jesus did in the Bible, the reverend of the church washed the feet of all the members present. Then, on Sunday, before we left for service, my mom woke up as early as possible to prepare our Easter rice, stew, and pepper soup using goat meat.

I was in church on Easter day, and all my attention was back at home because of the aroma that hit my nostrils before we left the house. After church, we took some pictures and then headed home to feast.

Thanks for reading my post.

Interesting.
School and riots when will all these stop? Students should also understand that vandalizing school property is not the best or a solution at all. Students will be the ones whose time was wasted and will still pay for the things destroyed with interest.

You won't believe since then we have been at home, this two months now. It's becoming frustrating.

It's nice that you participated in the Easter activities and about the aroma of food, I know your mummy is the best cook for you to be eager to go home to eat.

I had to because I was at home, my mom will talk about it untill forever if I had missed it.

Hahahahaha, the aroma of the food almost did what...? WOW, this is an evidence that women are the best, kudos to mummy for waking up that early to cook and still prepared early to Mass.

It's nice you participated fully in the Holy week activities, I ate pepper soup rice too on that Sunday. Then, in the aspect where you spoke about the country's economy, it is a disheartening situation, where the cries of the masses are nothing in the ears of the government but we still hope on God the sustain of Life as we keep striving and doing our best.

The country's economy keeps getting worst, no light at the end of the tunnel at all. The government does not even care if we survive or not, it is up to us to look for ways to survive.

This made running our hobby. Once you see people running, just run with them, ask questions later, and make sure you run in the same direction as them. Don't wait to see what is chasing them.

This got me rolling on the floor, remembering those days of our time. Run o run for your life🤣🤣🤣🤣

You just have to run and ask questions later 😂😂. If you stop to ask questions you are on your own.
