Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. We are all humans, and despite the fact that hate is a strong word, we still have certain things we really hate and do not like to be a part of.

We are all different; certain things I hate might be a habit for another person. It's their choice of life; many people detest gossip, while others enjoy it and call it their way of life. Life is a choice, and no one decides for you how to live it.

Always keep in mind that there are consequences for every choice you make; this is why you just have to think twice before deciding how you want to live your life. There are so many things I really hate and that are not on my bucket list; in this post, I will just outline two of them.

My mom always says that a lying tongue cuts deeper than a blade. It's true because I have seen cases where lying almost destroyed the life of a young pastor. A lady lied against him and said that he got her pregnant. A church that was flourishing started to fold. Members started to flee; it was a difficult time for him, but he still stood his ground.

Only a few people believed and still stick around; after nine months, the lady gave birth and a DNA test was conducted. The DNA results proved he wasn't responsible for the pregnancy; she confessed it was her mother's idea. Her lying tongue did cut deep; it affected his ministry and even his prayer life. Liers can make one commit suicide, push one into depression, or even worse.

• "Tarnishing A Person's Image:" Once a person lies against you, your good name never remains the same, even after you prove your innocence. Many people will still use the incident to describe you to people who don't know you; some will use it to mock you. Even after proving your innocence, your good name is not going to be completely restored.

Domestic violence is another thing I detest so much. I thank God every day for the type of parents he blessed me with. Even if they have quarrels, they settle them amicably; even the kids in the house won't notice. We once had a neighbor who other neighbors go to his house almost everyday of the week to stop him from beating his wife.

The kids are still little, but they are watching and might be made to believe it is the best way to build a family. The truth is that growing up in a family where domestic violence is the order of the day has an effect on the life of the child.

• Leaves A Scar: Growing up in such a home leaves an invincible scar on the lives of the kids; they keep remembering how their mom got punched like a punching bag and tend to hate their dad.

• Body Deformation: The lady in my neighborhood that year always had purple eyes and a sometimes swollen face. Domestic violence leaves a mark on the body.
