What we learned during our childhood days is serving us now.

Hello, everyone.

As kids, we never thought the day would come when the stuff we learn or are told as kids would one day come to help us, in ways too numerous to mention. Life is a school one never graduates from; you get to learn every day, but what we learn as kids serves as the foundation for any extra knowledge we learn later on. This is why many parents work so hard to make sure their kids are on the right track. A failed parenting plan is one where you just let the kids grow up without passing on to them the knowledge they need to navigate through life.

To date, I am proud of my parents, and I wish they'd still be my parents in my next life, though they took a lot of drastic decisions. Some of these decisions even made me feel like they hated me, but today I am grateful to them for making such decisions. Everything I am today, I owe to my parents. As kids, certain decisions made by our parents did hurt our emotions, but as adults, we now see clearly that the choices they made were for our own good. Raising a child is an easy thing to do, but raising a child right is not an easy feat to achieve. One must be prepared for the task.

I grew up with a dad who was never around as a result of the nature of his job, but he never once failed to carry out his responsibility as a father. Whenever he got the chance, he passed on wisdom by advising and sharing his life story with us. He came from nothing to something, no matter how difficult it was for him. He gave us many wise words and many pieces of advice, and they have been helping my siblings and me navigate through life. Those days, whenever he sat us down to share the words of wisdom we appreciated today, we were angry because it stopped us from going to play.

The one piece of advice he gave me that is still very fresh in my head is when he said, "Every individual makes mistakes, but don't make the same mistake twice." This advice has helped me through my life. Whenever I make a mistake, I don't go killing myself or let myself feel depressed; I just tell myself it is the first time I am making such a mistake, and that way I am back on my feet in no time, unlike the days where I go blaming myself and weeping over a mistake for a very long period of time.

No one promised you a perfect life; mistakes are bound to happen, and you just need to find ways to get over them and not go sulking over the mistakes made for a long time. Some mistakes are costly and can cost one an eternity to get over them, but with this advice, I have been able to recover and not kill myself in regret. Humans are not perfect; we are bound to make mistakes, and we just have to accept that and not let our mistakes hinder our growth.

Mistakes are part of growth; if you are not making any, it simply means you are not trying. You make mistakes and learn from them; it helps your growth. There is room for mistakes, but that does not mean we should become reckless. Let the mistakes we make be inevitable.

Exactly bro, we are bound to make mistakes but we ought to make sure we learn a thing or two from our mistakes.

Yeah, learning from mistakes ✌️

As humans mistakes are inevitable but like your dad said it should not be repeated over and over again as that would prove that one is not learning anything.

On no account should a mistake be repeated, once is enough.

Thanks for stopping by.
