Fun in the morning, pain at night

With everyday that passes, I'm beginning to have lesser things to do outside of my home, but today had been a bit different. Some of the guys had gathered together because they wanted to play some football today, so they had woken me up as early as 7am this morning, unlike other days where I stay in bed until it's past 9am.

I haven't left my home in a while and decided that escorting these guys to the field would be a good idea. The plan was to escort them there but not play because irrespective of how much I love the game, it also has been long I engaged in it and I wasn't as confident that morning like I used to be. So in order not to disgrace myself on the field, I was more than happy being a spectator watching from the sidelines.

But I should have known better, I should have known that when it comes to football, watching from the sidelines was never going to be enough for me because after about some few minutes of me watching, I found myself getting ready to play myself. Luckily for me, the clothes I had on were okay for me to get on the field and I did.

So we continued playing and the game lasted for about two hours but by the time we were done, I started regretting not listening to myself earlier on. You see, sometimes our spirits asks us to do certain things not just for some random reasons but for particular reasons, but we never listen and always do what we want instead. By the time that game ended, I found myself with an injury on my foot, a very painful one.

If this was professional football, I probably would be off for six months or something like that, but because it isn't, I will probably be off for a week or two and will be back on the pitch later doing what I do best. Sadly, I feel like all of this could easily had been avoided if I had listened to myself and chosen to watch rather than play.

But I really don't blame myself that much, I'm a huge lover of the sport and I should have known better, I should have known that choosing to watch rather than play when there was nothing wrong with both of my foots wasn't going to be an easy task. Anyways, I guess it has been fun in the morning and pains at night for me today. Hopefully I get to be more careful in the future.
