Se There's something I absolutely dislike about us human beings: the way we treat other people, jumping to conclusions or simply having prejudices based on their way of being, the way they dress, what they like to do, or what they believe. We create stereotypes about people based solely on what we see. So, if we see someone in simple clothes, we already say they're poor and have no future; if we see someone muscular, we already say they're a gym-goer; and in my case, if you see someone with glasses who likes computers, they're a nerd!
This is what I've always suffered from other people. I've always been the nerd, the guy who likes computers, anime, studying, among other things. And because I was smart in school and got good grades, I was constantly labeled as such, that I was a "nerd" who didn't know anything about picking up girls and wasn't even good at sports, just that I lived in my own world and on the computer. I always wondered why? Was being smart a curse? Was it bad? At first, I remember it really hit me and made me feel quite sad, but over time, I realized much more than just my current situation.
With life experience, I realized that everyone who made fun of me was actually slower, bad at grades, and computer-savvy. So, what they were really jealous of was what I achieved, and so the only way they could feel great was to belittle me with jokes and insults. Over time, I realized that I was never wrong, that my intelligence wasn't a sin but a gift that would set me apart from those people who don't know how to be happy for the achievements of others.
UnsplashTo this day, the occasional person still teases me about my love for computers and the latest developments in this field. Even with all my dedication to Hive, this has been the subject of ridicule and unfunny jokes, saying that everything I'm doing is crazy, a waste of time, among other things that I think many here have experienced. The difference is that today I know how to defend myself, I know how to use words to honestly and politely combat these stereotypes and continue striving to improve in the things I truly enjoy and love.
So, I started taking everything as a joke too, even making fun of some things I like. After all, that's what breaks those who keep annoying you. When you find it funny, they run out of ammunition to make fun of you or maintain their prejudices. Once I realized that getting angry and trying to retaliate only makes them sure they're hurting me, I started playing along and messing with their minds. Of course, on some occasions, I just walked away silently and let it go; this also helped me breathe in certain difficult moments.
Unfortunately, people will always create stereotypes about you, about what you are, like or believe, everything will always be a reason for jokes or teasing, but that is what these weaker minds do, it is only in this way that they can feel great, when they get together and start to hurt other people they feel envious of with their words and attitudes, because they will never be able to be like the people they tease.

Se tem algo que eu não gosto de jeito nenhum em nós seres humanos, é como tratamos algumas outras pessoas, tirando conclusões precipitadas ou somente tendo preconceitos por seu jeito de ser, de se vestir, no que gosta de fazer ou no que acredita. Criamos estereótipos sobre as pessoas, somente pelo que nossos olhos vêm, então se vemos uma pessoa com roupas simples, já falamos que é uma pessoa pobre e sem futuro, se a gente vê alguém musculoso, já falamos que é uma pessoa que vive de academia e no meu caso, se você vê alguém de óculos que gosta de computador é nerd!
Isso foi o que sempre sofri em relação às outras pessoas, sempre fui o nerd, o cara que gosta de computador, animes, de estudar, entre outras coisas e, por ser inteligente na escola, tirar notas boas, era taxado o tempo todo disso, que era um “nerdzão” que não sabia nada de pegar garotas e nem era bom em esportes, somente que vivia no mundo da lua e no computador. Sempre me perguntei por que isso? Era uma maldição ser inteligente? Era ruim isso? No começo, eu lembro que isso até me atingia e me deixava bem triste, mas com o tempo, percebi muitas coisas além da situação em que vivia.
Com a experiência de vida percebi que todos que ficavam me zoando, na verdade, eram pessoas mais lerdas, ruins de notas, que não sabiam fazer nada em relação a um computador, então o que elas tinham, na verdade, era inveja do que eu conseguia e por isso, a única forma de se sentirem grandes era me diminuindo com as piadas, com os insultos. Com o tempo, percebi que eu nunca estive errado, que a minha inteligência não era um pecado e sim uma dádiva que me diferenciaria destas pessoas que não sabem ficar felizes pelas conquistas dos outros.
UnsplashAté hoje, uma ou outra pessoa ainda me zoa porque gosto muito de computador e novidades desta área, até mesmo com todo o meu empenho na Hive, isso já foi motivo de chacota e piadas sem graça, de que tudo o que estou fazendo é loucura, perda de tempo, dentre outras coisas que acho que muitos aqui já passaram. A diferença é que hoje sei me defender, sei usar as palavras para combater de forma honesta e educada esses estereótipos e continuar buscando melhorar naquilo que gosto e amo bastante.
Sendo assim, comecei a levar tudo na brincadeira também, até mesmo fico zoando algumas coisas que gosto, afinal, isso é o que quebra aqueles que ficam te enchendo a paciência, quando você também acha graça, eles ficam sem munição para te zoar ou para manter seus preconceitos. Depois que entendi que ficar nervoso e tentar revidar tudo só faz eles terem a certeza de que estão me atingindo, passei a brincar junto e assim baguncei a mente deles. Claro que em algumas ocasiões eu só me afastei em silêncio e deixei de lado, isso também me ajudou a respirar em certos momentos complicados.
Infelizmente, as pessoas sempre vão criar estereótipos sobre você, sobre o que você é, gosta ou acredita, tudo sempre vai ser motivo de piada ou de zoação, mas isso é o que essas mentes mais fracas fazem, é somente assim que eles conseguem se sentir grandes, quando se juntam e começam a machucar com as palavras e atitudes outras pessoas que elas sentem inveja, pois elas nunca vão conseguir ser como as pessoas que elas zoam.

O ser humano muitas das vezes é injusto perante os outros, muitas das vezes antes de conhecer as pessoas já as está a julgar sem dar hipótese que as pessoas se deem a conhecer, se dessem essa oportunidade muitas das vezes eram surpreendidos e pediriam desculpa por terem julgado alguém antes de conhecer a pessoa.
Infelizmente somos assim, julgamos antes de entender e conhecer as pessoas, sempre existe um mal entendido antes de tudo. Por isso é sempre bom conhecer primeiro com calma, as pessoas tem muito a mostrar e todos nós temos que respeitar os gostos e as maneiras de cada um.

That's right, sir, it often happens everywhere that it's easy to jump to conclusions when judging people, being prejudiced against others just because of their place of origin or group, so they don't look at the contents first, they only judge by the cover.
And that's the mistake, we can't judge people by their cover, we should always try to get to know them first, we always have something to learn from someone! More connections equals more knowledge! Cheers!
