Looking back at the quiet figure

Welcoming in my blog...

Argiope Trifasciata is one of the species belonging to the spider group in general, often nesting deep in the open ground, meaning that it often knit its webs openly, and each traps its prey in the form of pests or other insects which are often in open land, often making nets (nests) in the field without obstacles are temporary with the aim of trapping prey. Our residents often refer to their name as yellow garden spiders, of course the name refers to the character of their body color and also their interest which often nests in every agricultural or plantation crop, if so, the name is nationalized to be non-scientific. In the sense that it is spoken into the language of ordinary people as a non-verbal language

Although I often join local research teams in wildlife observation group activities, I personally don't really understand this animal. Because basically they are not interested in researching its existence, moreover their presence in a habitat never interferes with human activities, so their existence is often neglected. Unlike today, I myself saw different things from this group of spiders, why? Because this is the first time I have met a spider with a size larger than other spiders. This spider has a body posture that exceeds the normal size of other spiders. In general, or if I'm not mistaken, other spiders generally have a female size of about 8 mm. While the male has a size of about 6.8 mm, or 8 mm. While the spiders you see in this post are about 17-20 mm in size. And this one looks female because her body size is bigger than the male.

Also met by accident, this situation occurs when just come home from daily activities, or after a routine job. Interestingly, when passing through a resident's yard (taking a shortcut, after work) you can see from afar a figure that contrasts with a color, that character will attract everyone's attention when they meet him. This is due to the influence of contrasting colors, especially when the sun is shining in the afternoon.

The sun's rays that afternoon, made his body more clearly visible, the contrasting yellow color, would be seen more clearly, so that it made me want to get closer and closer.

This quiet figure, looks very professional when meeting strangers, this can be seen from his quiet nature, with an attitude of pretending to be dead. It is certain that it, is a trick they do when they are on the field, assuming two reasons. It is :

  1. Pretending to be dead when trying to hunt prey
  2. Pretending dead when dealing with strangers, especially if you are in a location very close to the nest, or too close. Then this attitude will continue to be born in every mission from them.
  3. Pretending dead is deliberately done when their souls are considered threatened.

This pretending attitude, makes me overwhelmed, why? Unable to take several pictures with different angles, so I was forced to only take two different angles, between the front and back, while other different angles could not be achieved. I don't want to bother him in that state anyway.

You can also enjoy the original character even if it's only in the form of pictures, at least you can clearly see his posture up close. Here are some pictures in silence, of course, will be seen below. Here's the presentation.

It took a little longer to get close to it at a distance of about 0.5 meters, and it was more flexible to shorten even from two angles, but my hard work was not in vain, namely being able to shoot at close range, without interfering with the spider's routine activities in a program. Finally, it can be unidirectional in capturing the image, or in other terms in the form of photo #macrophotography.

Spiders are not my faavorite arthropods, but nevertheless they are very interesting and quite outstanding. I find them very interesting, especially their awesome net structures, but always keep my distance 😁

Incredible mate, you are very intelligent in understanding him, whereas I rarely observe him, but somehow met him, he looks very interesting, maybe because of his rather large body. Thank you @adalger for visiting, you are very kind, I hope this kindness always gets a reply, and it feels really good if you visit my blog, greetings... 👍

This is beautiful indeed @soehada, your explanations are detailed and your pictures are just so beautiful and colorful.
Although I'm no fan of spiders, I found myself reading till the very end.
