My country India is one of the popular tourist destination from around the world. Travellors from far off places like to explore the unknown territory of India. India always remain into limelight for rest of the world. This might be one of the reason, that many foreign invaders rules India for numerous years. From Muggals to Britishers, they came, invade, ruled and plundered every corner of this beautiful nation.
India is a South Asian country, the world's seventh-largest in area and most populous, and the largest democracy with a parliamentary republic system. It has a rich, ancient history and a diverse culture with numerous languages and religions, and it is a federal union comprising 28 states and 8 union territories. In todays, the rest of the world has differrnt perspective about my country. Some of have good impression while some has worst. But the fact is that it depends the way way you look at this beautiful nation.

There is always a two sides of coin, and the perception about India is nothing different. India is seen as a country with a profound and ancient culture, offering a vast array of experiences from historical sites and colorful festivals to spiritualism and bustling street life. Many visitors are overwhelmed by the vibrant sights, sounds, and smells, finding the experience stimulating and "alive". Many tourists report positive interactions with locals, finding them friendly and hospitable, even if interactions are sometimes complicated. Tourists are drawn to the iconic landmarks like the Taj Mahal and the forts of Rajasthan, as well as natural beauty like the backwaters of Kerala and the beaches of Goa.

On the contrary, for some, particularly first time visitors, India can be an intense and overwhelming experience due to loud traffic, crowded streets, and a general sense of chaos. High levels of pollution and a lack of cleanliness in some areas can be a negative aspect for tourists. Tourists sometimes face challenges with things like navigation, managing traffic, and long travel times. Some tourists report experiences with people trying to take advantage of them or being dishonest.

Origin of Yoga

With so many goodness and bad things India is still remain a hot destination for all kinds of people. One of the good things that I always feel proud of India that made it famous for is their contribution towards Yoga. The world knows India for yoga due to its ancient origins, the country's role as the center for authentic teaching. Yoga is deeply embedded in Indian philosophy, encompassing physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects. Yoga's origins trace back over 5,000 years to ancient Indian civilization, with early references in the Vedas and a rich philosophical tradition behind the practice. India is the top destination for those seeking to learn authentic yoga, with many flocking there for teacher training courses and retreats.

Pollution & cleanliness

One of the prominent negative things India is often associated with or famous for in the rest of the world is widespread pollution and lack of public cleanliness. These are man made issue, which always creates bad impression. These issues collectively damage India's international image, making it appear as a nation struggling with basic public health and sanitation despite its significant economic and technological advancements.

In good faith - Peace!!

Is the majority of India populated or are there still some vast areas of wilderness. I've seen the photos of you going back to your village and it seems that there are still some quite remote areas in the country.

there are many isolated and quite place around india. but when you are in major cities you will expect crowd and rush

Yeah, I can only imagine how crazy the cities are! Would you say the cities occupy more space than the green areas?

Cities are expanding very rapidly so they are taking over the green spaces...there were many farming near delhi but last 10 years or so, they were converted into big apartment building....its strange. ..how people are selling their land for money

Ugh, that's too bad...

Well nothing can be done....this is why I enjoy leaving at my home...being remote it is far away from industrialization and urbanisation.

I live right in the middle of both, so it is quite nice. Not too far to the city, but also surrounded by farm fields.
