RE: Keeping science in check

Perhaps I'll add a different viewpoint on the cloning thing. Imagine that we could make a clone of your body. Of course you don't want another copy of you hanging around, right?

Except maybe you do.

What if your heart was failing. Or perhaps your kidney. Perhaps you just need a skin graft or blood transfusion. If you made a clone without a brain just a bunch of working organs without thought or soul you would have 100% compatible organs available whenever you may need them.

Need a heart transplant? Perfect donor right there waiting for you. No need to wait for a suitable candidate and lifelong anti-rejection drugs.

Of course as for weaponized viruses. Covid 19 was bad enough. Weaponized Ebola or Smallpox or any host of other diseases would be a true nightmare. Let's hope that never happens.

In the aspect of close genetic makeup or availability, a fair position nonetheless, not to cheat nature or death unethically. Thank you for this viewpoint
