My Crypto Journey Ending with Hive

in Hive Learners2 years ago (edited)

It is quite said that the journey of a thousand mile begins with a single step. So today, I will be sharing my steps in the crypto space. My wins, my losses and my experiences. Hope with this, you won't make same mistakes or repeat some actions I did.

Hii guys welcome back, I feel honored to be sharing my crypto journey with you all thanks to the @hive-learners moderators. So not to waste any of your time, leggo.

My crypto journey started in bits but just as everyones' journey, mine also started with bitcoin. As we all know that bitcoin is the boss of crypto, you can't know crypto without first knowing bitcoin. So I knew about bitcoin in the times of MMM (yeah I did MMM but I withdrew my cash 2 days before they shut down Luck me ahbi 😂🤣). So I knew about it briefly but didn't dwell too much in it.

Fast forward to when I got to school where I met @k-banti and he introduced me to hive (steemit back then). He had no need to convince me so much about the plateform because it was all evidence in his life. Evidence in the sense that he pays his bills courtesy of the plateform, replishes his foodstuffs there was even a time that he bought a phone thanks to the platform. So there was no need to convince me again since I was seeing the miracles of crypto so I joined. That was my first real step into the crypto space as I learnt a lot about how it really works and the reasons for the rise and fall of crypto.

The main journey

My Wins

Remember I said that my knowledge of steemit was my first step to crypto well, my main journey starts now.

After the whole crisis on the platform, I decided to give it a break and build myself fully into crypto. As usual, you can’t learn anything without first knowing the background or introduction. So I did my research attended some basic classes, watched videos on crypto just to give me that push to know what I’m about to enter.

After the introduction, I got introduced by my teacher/mentor to wallets I could use to start was Trust wallet since it is user friendly. After teaching me all these and also how to trade (spot), smart contracts came in.

Most of you here might know what Smart Contracts are. Well I participated in them Forsage, Lionshare, FORTRON. That was how I got my major knowledge on affiliate marketing because there is no way you want to earn from these and won’t be able to refer. My first eth was gotten from Forsage and it was awesome. I got to know more about ethereum and then the gas fee started so we had to opt out and then Tron smart contract came via FORTRON. My dear, that was the jackpot I think thanks to that smart contract, I was able to accumulate over 10k worth of tron (tron was very low then).

After the raise and fall of smart contracts, I decided to go learn Fútures the more, trading patterns and some others since I knew I’d like to further into the crypto space. Knowing all these, I started an exchange (Troz Exchange).

I started this exchange last year when Shit coins started.

We also helped build portfolios then because everyone wanted to bag shit coins then😊😊😊

That was another gold mine for me. I didn’t want to mix my personal account with business so I had to create the another profile. TrozEx.
Shit coin season was the best. That was where I got my first 500k and more. So after seeing money, I decided to start my dream business “A food joint” leaving the rest for trades. Having a food joint was and is my biggest dream. As a verified foodie, I also enjoy cooking and satisfaction I get when people eat my food with joy. So I partnered up some guys and we built up the business (greatest mistake). Then shit coin season went.

My Losses…

I didn’t lose much from the smart contract season since I used the money to grow my WhatsApp platform to push my affiliate business.

Concerning the shit coin, I didn’t pull out most of my profits. Even though I knew the smartest thing to do then was to pull out 60% and leave the rest, I just couldn’t. You can say that greed played a big row in my life but I saw my portfolio drop from around #300,000 to around 150k then my village people let me go😂😂😂.
I pulled out 100,000.

Having lost the business I started because the remaining two guys were not patient enough to wait 4 months or so before realizing major profits, they decided that they were no longer interested in running the business and since I couldn’t buy their share because of my past loss, we brought it down😞☹️.

Still banking on my TrozEx to feed me and pay my bills, I got a call from a family friend that her friend wants to sell Btc and he needs the money.

One thing I will advise you all to do is that do not trade when in pressure.

Well this guy kept on pressurizing me that he needs the money urgently and what not. Normally, I would have bought the coin myself and trade later at night but I didn’t have that enough cash to buy it so I went out to trade the coin under pressure and ended up being scammed #162,000 😩😩.

At that moment, I was confused on what to do. Should I block them or tell them that I was scammed and at least give them something. I even went far as thinking fetish to make the scammer not to have rest until he sends my money. I thought of everything but at the end, I locked myself up and cried my eyes out knowing where I was coming from and now starting over. Omo I cried ooo and at the same time, I prayed for strength to see this through. That was when I knew what depression really was. I ended up paying the guy his full money taking responsibility for my actions. I sold off all my remaining portfolios converting everything to Bnb and selling. So I was now in ground zero.

This made my cross over a disaster in the sense that as I was about rejoicing with the rest, a thought came in and was like “why are you rejoicing after all you lost that year” then I just started feeling depressed again.

Thankfully, I invested in myself which the knowledge can’t be lost. My friends and I decided to start an affiliate site and it was a good to come back. As I gently came back to my feet. On telling @starstrings01 all these, he finally had me by the neck and dragged me back to hive (coming back home as the prodigal son😂😂😂). I came back late last year and although it hasn’t been easy building back from zero because I was advised to set up another account but with the support of the community, it has been worth it.

Wow 1000 words already 😂😂😂.

Let me stop here but in all these, what I learnt was always invest yourself because that’s the greatest investment. Everything might go down but what you know sticks.

Also remember that when there is life, there is always hope. Right now, I’m currently making plans to start up my physical business and I will definitely share it with you all when I do.

Just as I said in my introduction, Crypto still has a long way, and despite my losses, I have a lot to thank crypto for because I won’t have gotten the knowledge I have without it. Even though I was being careless and dumb with my decisions but I learnt how to take responsibilities for my actions and I will avoid such mistakes in times to come.😎😎

Thanks for reading through.

I had to skip some interesting parts about crypto. This is just my journey, don’t be discouraged the crypto space is a very beautiful place to be in. Several times I will wake up to see that my predictions were right and I ll be in gain.

There was a time hive rose to around $3 (assuming #500/hive) from around $1. I called it and posted on my status it was after it came back down that someone came to my DM that he bought 20k worth of hive and made profit of over 100%. Me myself was shocked.

You see beautiful space. But everything involves risk. Pick your most preferred risk and enjoy

Wow @trojan1, you've said a whole lot and I enjoyed reading through every bit.

Your crypto journey has been really fun Sha. But the fact that you were pressurized into selling the coin for someone was a really huge lesson Learnt. I'm happy I was opportuned to be part of your readers.

Keep the fire burning, we know crypto currency is the future so let's build ours.

Wow! Such a cool and fun experience you've had..

One thing I will advise you all to do is that do not trade when in pressure.

This can kill your portfolio mehn! I know of someone who did and he's yet to recover. it's really crazy to do such.

Thankfully, I invested in myself which the knowledge can’t be lost.

This is the most amazing part of it. What I learn now can never be forgotten and it really goes a long way in the crypto space..

Yeah it can never be lost or forgotten but you need to keep practicing it to get better at it.

Thanks for checking out my blog

Yea! Practice is very important.
You're welcome 🤗

Your story is an inspiring one indeed. You have gone through so much where crypto is concerned, gone very high and also very low. But you still found a way to get back to your feet. That is very motivational.
No matter how good you get, bad things can still happen. It is how you deal with those bad things that determine the kind of person you are.
And the knowledge you have gained so far will remain with you so you can build your way up once again.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
