The progress the world has made in the previous two centuries was due to the foundation laid by previous scholars and scientists. It was the thirst of scientists of modern times that made them ponder on everything from Earth to space and they penned down their observations in the form of a thesis. These theses were present in the form of books. Thus we can conclude that libraries were the main source of knowledge on whose basis these revolutionary developments were made.
The culture of libraries is ending day by day. There was a time when people used to spend their leisure time and seek knowledge through them. From literature to scientific observation, they were the hub of knowledge but now people’s priorities are changing rapidly and diverting from real education to materialistic gains. Instead of seeking knowledge, people love to scroll. The libraries have either been wiped out or been ghosted. People have forgotten the way to libraries.
Digitization has brought a revolution in this century. Life’s speed has increased and everyone looks for easy and rapid access and that is why false information is increasing day by day. Along with it, these digital gadgets have affected our way of living as well. Let me share with you an example. A few days ago I happened to have my breakfast in a restaurant. I ordered my food and started waiting for it. There was a man on my side table and he was using his mobile while his food was on the table. He was continuously scrolling TikTok while taking bite after bite. Now when people can’t even eat properly without using digital gadgets how will they spend hours in libraries?

I am a bibliophile. Whether it's my bed, while traveling, or while I am on hill stations sitting on the bank of a roaring river, I love to read books. I have a very diverse taste for books. I love reading novels, moral books, stories, history books, biographies, and scientific books. A person like me feels happy and comfortable with books and every month I make a target to read one or two books.
According to me, although a lot of digitization has happened and everyone has access to books on their phones and now spending millions on libraries seems extravagant it is not. The importance of knowledge cannot be denied. The libraries are the hub of education as visiting big mobile centers never disappoints you ,same is the case of the library. Moreover, the cultures of book-reading will be completely wiped out if libraries are not established or preserved properly.
I will summarize my blog by quoting the quote of Albert Einstein
“The only thing you have to know absolutely is the location of the library”
This is my blog for #hl-exclusive and #hl-w158e2.
Tomaré prestada la frase de Einstein, ya que también soy fan de los libros en papel!
