My twin arrived yesterday after almost a year of being apart. I never thought we would find ourselves in such situations of being apart for a very long time, but then life happens.
Since my students in school are preparing for exams and I'm done with teaching, I took the day off. And now many people are surprised as we both just stroll around the neighborhood.
"You mean you are twins?"
"Wow you look so much alike!"
"I'll love to give birth to twins! Tell me the secret..."
These and many more are what we heard throughout our walk this afternoon.
However we couldn't help but laugh at the last question. I mean what secret is there in giving birth to twins?
"Maybe get pregnant when you are pregnant to make it two?" 😁
You don't learn such, you have no power over who you give birth to.
It was a memorable walk though. Today particularly had been a fulfilling day, I hope for many more of it.
And believe me when I say "I am alive!" (I just shouted that out). Because indeed I do feel alive more than ever.
In case you are wondering, the second picture is me. You can see we don't really look that much alike.
