A funny exploring Day with Friends at Xoan Peninsula (Part 1)

Good morning, Wednesday Walk lovely friends!
If it is sunny, Will you go outside to enjoy the sunlight?
I am sure you will. I have only one rule, it is not raining, I absolutely go out to explore and start my adventure in the forest or find the secret beaches.
Today is a special day because i and my friends made a deal for going to this place a week ago but we had to cancel due to bad weather. Today, we are really sure that it will be a beautiful day, then we are extremely excited about this trip.

                           Part 1.Pick coconuts at Van village

Got lost
I met up with my friend at 10:30 am because I had to finish my class then go later to join the group. I drove through Hai Van Pass then stop at Hoa Sua Cafe shop to go hiking down. We were just so excited when being back in nature after waiting for the rain off for a week. We were trying to find the trail but the plant so grown and covered all the trail then we had to try really hard to find the railway. It was so beautiful to be close there and suddenly the strong sound of the rain came. It was a small old one. We stopped for a while to watch it until it was totally far away. We got lost to find the main trail but luckily we finally explored a new way to get there. It was shade all the way out by trees and the reflection of the sun looked so magical. I talked to myself that I could walk all day and we make another plan to explore here next time. I was so focused on taking photos and my shoes were so slippery, which made me fall down then one grasshopper accidentally parked on my pants. It looked so cute and made me remember the memories of childhood. Then we were so surprised to see the big tree there. We got lost but it was so fun to try new experiences and unexpected things.

Coconut party
I was so happy to meet my group there. They already picked coconut and as they said it took them one hour to get that. That also was the first time I met a cute dog called "Đù" who has so charming face and is really adorable. He was barking at me at first when seeing me. After I touched him more, He might feel okay with it then I spent all my free time patting his head and rubbing his leathers like a massage. You could see his face from the photos below to understand why I liked the dog so much. Then we made a small fire to boil water then cook noodles. The last visitors left all the stuff for us to make a fire string rock and I really appreciated it. It was time to practice Leave No Trace principle 5: Minimize the campfire impacts. We collected the small dried sticks to make the fire. I love to see the fire and make it to do some small things.

It was not easy to pick coconut. My friend did it and became professional. I did give it a try but failed because the long stick was quite heavy and I could not reach it. I was so happy to be shared coconut as well. We picked around 10 coconuts and step by step opened each one. Normally, we just bought a coconut from the shop and drank it but this time we made it by ourselves so the feeling was so different and excited to see our achievement. It was a big coconut but it was very little water. Some were quite plain and their meat was like jellyfish but some were really good, sweet, and perfect meat. We drank until our stomach was full of water. It was so worth it to come here and try. It was so fun to hang out and had a little picnic with friends.

Exploring small things
I was so satisfied with our activities today. I was so happy to find this small seed with a little plant there, which I don't know its name. Or I found beautiful cactus growing on the rock. How strong it is and beautiful wildflower with red and yellow color. While walking along the rock, I also saw one thing like a mini staircase for the ant or as I imagined for the tiny people. It was so magical. We were going to explore the other side of the beach called the Xoan Peninsula, which was so interesting as well I will write about this in part 2.

This is my little trip for Wednesday's Walk. I go out every time if it is sunny. Most of the time is about exploring beaches and waterfalls. Hope you enjoy my stories.
