#Wednesday Walk - A Late Afternoon on Amanzimtoti Beach.

This post is for the #wednesdaywalk challenge and the #makemesmile challenge collaboration. This collaboration initially took place once a month, but due to its popularity, @tattoodjay (of the #wednesdaywalk) and @elizacheng (of #makemesmile) decided to make it a weekly thing.

If you want to know more about the rules, visit this week's post by @tattoodjay where you will find all the rules at the bottom of his post after you've enjoyed his beautiful photos from his walk.

We had a busy weekend last weekend and didn't find time to go for a walk.

I decided to share some photos of a recent walk in Amanzimtoti one late afternoon.

On this particular day, we were on an outing toward the south coast of Kwazulu Natal, and on our way back, late in the afternoon, we decided to stop over in Amanzimtoti and go for a walk on the beach.

During the next few weeks, this is not something we can bank on...to go for a walk on a beach...as we are now in the holiday season here in South Africa. That means the beaches are normally crowded with holidaymakers...and as you all know by now...I'm not really one for crowds.

So, for today, let's stick to this recent walk on the main beach in Amanzimtoti, South of Durban on the east coast of South Africa.

As mentioned, it was already late afternoon and the lifesavers had already requested everybody to come out of the water.

It was also a cool, cloudy day.

As we all know, the ocean is never the same. Every time you visit the beach, it's a new experience altogether.

But I am also always on the lookout for any changes in scenery on and around the beach...or maybe just something I haven't noticed before.

One thing that normally catches my attention, is logs that washed out on the beach...such as this one. This one might have been on the beach for some time already and I think it was moved off the beach as it was quite far from the water. It also looked dried out...

This one, on the other hand, was still close to the water.

Some beautiful waves were hitting the rocks on the beach...

In between waves breaking on the rocks, it was a beautiful, calm scene to watch the water covering the rocks, constantly moving back and forth...

And with that, we come to the end of today's post.

Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!

What a pity that there was no time to walk on the weekend, but luckily you have an excellent photo album, with very beautiful shots of a walk on the beach
Thank you very much dear friend @jacoalberts for sharing these beautiful shots
Have a beautiful walking Wednesday.

Hi, @jlufer! Thank you for your kind words and your feedback! I do appreciate it!

You must have a great Wednesday too!

One spot that I will look once visited the beach are those rocks where the waves hits!

I find it calming to sit or stand there.
Hearing the sounds of the waves and feeling the sea water.

I feel the same way. Whenever we visit the beach, you can be sure that we will be looking for the rocky areas and that is where we end up spending most of our time!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day!
