#Wednesday Walk - Watch Out For the Traffic

in Wednesday Walk6 months ago

This post is for the #wednesdaywalk challenge and the #makemesmile challenge collaboration. This collaboration initially took place once a month, but due to its popularity, @tattoodjay (of the #wednesdaywalk) and @elizacheng (of #makemesmile) decided to make it a weekly thing.

If you want to know more about the rules, visit this week's post by @tattoodjay where you will find all the rules at the bottom of his post after you've enjoyed his beautiful photos from his walk.

In my posts for last week's #wednesdaywalk, we were "Getting Close to Nature in the Tala Collection Game Reserve".

Today, I want to say...

Watch out for the Traffic... Four-Legged Traffic!

Yes, no wheels, but pedestrian traffic on four legs...lol.

I would like to share more photos from the same outing in the Tala Collection Game Reserve. But, today I want to show some wild life as we encountered them on the road...not next to us in the bush.

Let's start with this little guy. He wasn't fully in the road...but close enough! He looked up curiously as he became aware of us slowly approaching him...

As we came closer, he relaxed and kept on grazing...

A little later, we encountered the " Three Musketeers"...

They have just crossed the road right in front of us. One is already in the grass to the left.

They started paying more attention to us as we came closer...

By now, the second one was also making a jump to get into the grass...

The third guy casually waited for us to pass...keeping an eye on us though.

For the next photo, I had to suddenly stop the car, grab the camera and get the shot in time while they were crossing the road in front us.

I didn't have the time to properly get my focus in. I did capture the moment, but it's not very clear and the photo lack sharpness. I will still share it though as we enjoyed the moment.

But fortunately, they were in no rush. Another, bigger member of the family joined in and they casually started grazing on the side of the road...

Even though we slowly came closer, this little one even turned around and went back to the side where they came from...

Another little group we met up with a little later again, peacefully grazing on the side of the road...

Lucky Enough to See Some Rhinos.

Yes, we were lucky enough to see some rhinos too!

The rhino is one of the "Big Five" and is the most endangered species of the "Big Five".

The five animals known as the "Big Five" are the lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros and leopard.

This guy wasn't exactly on the road...but he came close enough for us to admire him!

It is sad, but their horns are removed to protect them against poachers.

It looks like he is saying "Hello, Mr. Bird..."

It is so sad to see this majestic animal without his horn, but it remains a beautiful animal!

He came slightly forward and I was hoping that he would come out from behind the little "hump/hill" between us, but he didn't come any closer than this...

And with that, we come to the end of today's post.

Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!

Love this post so cool they let you get such cool photos of them and WOW even a rhino

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)

Yes! We had such a great time and the rhino was a highlight! That's for sure!

Wow! to see some deer and rhino on a walk, I'd love to walk that path.
Sad that the rhinos don't have horns. It is strange to think we cannot be at peace with those whom we share our world with. Are we human any more?
Thanks for sharing your walk with us in the community. Have a great day @jacoalberts

That is so true! I have asked that same question! I cannot understand how any human being can be so cruel!

The pleasure is mine💕

Four-Legged Traffic!

😂 You don't see such thing where I live. There are animals at the countryside, roaming around, but not many and even those are kind of afraid of humans. So consider yourself officially lucky!

I do consider myself officially lucky, believe me😂👍!

Thank you for stopping by and for sharing your thoughts, @erikah! I do appreciate it!
