Why does time fly when you enjoy, and it seems the days are longer when you suffer? This thought suddenly popped up in my mind as it felt like yesterday; I was happily sharing that my husband would be having a vacation. Yet the other day, I accompanied him to the airport for his flight back to work. That fast!I woke up with no energy today, so I opted not to go to work.
I was tired of staring at the ceiling 😂, so I got up and took my laptop. Perhaps it would be better to write, so let me share one of our walks during our trip to Tagaytay with you. (Picnic Groove)
From Wandering at People's Park in the Sky, our tour guide brought at Picnic groove. While on our way, I asked him what we expected to see, activities, and the main attraction at the park. That is when he offered if we wanted to try horseback riding. (You will not be left alone with the horse while it is running, just riding while it is strolling as the guide holds them for safety precautions.) We somehow liked the idea, so he called his cousin, one of the guides.
As Bokyo entered the park, we dropped by the gate to pay the entrance fee. It cost $1.33 each.
There were a lot of trees surrounding the park, yet the weather was still humid. Honestly, it was the opposite of what I was expecting. After paying, we headed to the area for the activity the husband and I planned to try.
Saw a few horses and it was also the designated place where you could enjoy the ride. The only thing I didn't like here was the payment for the ride varies.
Initially, the horseman asked us to pay P350 or $6.21 each. We should have two horses, only a few rounds of walking at the track. (not that wide) Yet, the other horseman offered the same price for a group of friends; they were four for the same price. (Just one horse). We are about to step back as it was expensive, but the offer changed. So $6.21 for the two of us.
After we were done, we started to walk around, but the husband saw a taho vendor. Since he missed eating this, we opted to buy two cups, strawberry flavor for him and the original for me.
While enjoying the sip, we walk around until we reach this look like a viewing deck.
Few people were at the top, and some enjoyed taking photos.
The whole structure was made of cement, and above, there are some handrails you can hold or lean on while seeing around. You can see the overlooking view of Taal Volcano from here.
However, we are less lucky than it was foggy, so you can only see this.
If you zoom in, you can see a glimpse of Taal. While taking photos, I noticed a long, cemented pathway that intrigued us about where it led. So, the moment we stepped down, we started walking to the trail.
Ah, so there was a zipline here.
The pathway was too long and looked never ended, yet you won't feel it too tiring as it was comfortable to walk. Also, you can enjoy it as you are surrounded by nature.
Or you could pause for a while to have some good photos.
The choice is yours if you want to stay in a corner and stare at nature for a while.
After minutes of walking, I saw this short bridge to be connected to the other side of the park.
A few people were taking photos, and since we didn't want to be a photobomber, we stopped for a while.
After passing the bridge, finally, we are almost at the end of the pathway.
Whew! That was a long walk!
This is where you can find several cottages that face Taal. You will have a clearer view than the earlier one. Food outside is allowed, and the cottages are free to use. That is already included in the entrance fee paid earlier.
Since it was almost noon, only a few cottages were occupied. The best time to visit here is early morning or near twilight.
This is the view while sitting in one of the cottages.
We were exhausted from walking, so we decided to look for refreshments. You don't have to worry about food; above these cottages, you can find the Cusina De Maria where you can dine.
It Seemed the husband didn't notice I was not on his side while walking; 🤣
At the top was a viewing deck where you could have a full view and, of course, more refreshing as it was windy.
Opps, as I mentioned in my previous post, Tagaytay is also well-known for pineapples, remember? The good news was you could buy some at the picnic Groove for affordable prices.
That ends our walk and usual this is my entry in #wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay and I hope I made you smile by @elizacheng.

such a beautiful area, good the horse guy came to a better price for you
considerate waiting so not to photobomb others, so many these days do not even think of that and walk right in front of a camera
Oh yes ,thankful at his price was not really fair enough.
I also felt bad if I saw photobombers that is why I always tried my best not to ruin other memories,.lol.
Thanks for stopping by!

I'll choose to stay there for a while and stare at nature 😍 you had a beautiful walk and horse riding is really of much fun.
Check my recent post and see something interesting there Lhes 😹
I know you would love it, sure wait, hehe
Okay 😹
I love that wooden pathway that leads to the trees! So refreshing and peaceful. Not really sure though if riding on the horse with it just walking slowly is even worth it. I guess I'm comparing it to my experience of having the horse run while riding them which is more fun. But again, the place is already nice to have a break from the city life!
Not the worth it actually 🤣, but just the thought at least we had experienced a ride not just for photo which was in Baguio.
Tagaytay had a beautiful places to visit and this one I would recommend, just we went there are the wrong time 🤣.
So it was really hot 🔥🥵

Love the view from the top! And no doubt I'd stop every few tens of meters just to admire nature again and again. The whole trail is so smartly created to make you want to take breaks more often ha!
Oh it was and was so refreshing. It would be nice to go here once in a while to escape the crowded city
That long pathway is best for walking exercise. Seeing that breathtaking view after a long walk paid off the tiredness you feel.
Oh it was, nanakit nga paa ko kakalakad diyan
