Short but so pleasant walk in the fields

Hello, friends!
I haven't been here for a long time, because there was not enough time for walks.
But recently I had a very short and spontaneous, but pleasant walk with... a dog. No, I haven't gotten a dog yet, because I have too many cats! Maybe in the future...
I have to tell the backstory.
It so happened that a friend came to visit me and suddenly we noticed that his neighbor's (old woman's) dog, came with him. The dog is young and likes to travel somewhere sometimes... But later it returns home always.

Давненько я тут не була, бо на прогулянки було обмаль часу.
Та нещодавно відбулась дуже коротка та спонтанна, але приємна прогулянка з... собакою. Ні, поки що я не завела собі собаку, бо маю надто багато котиків! Може в майбутньому...
Мушу оповісти передісторію.
Сталось так, що до мене а гості зайшов друг і раптом ми помітили, що разом з ним прийшов пес його сусідки, старої бабусі. Песика їй подарували діти, він молодий і любить іноді кудись помандрувати... Але згодом повертається додому. (Якщо що, то я проти самовигулу, але в цьому випадку собака живе на хуторі, де навколо немає небезпек і для неї є два варіанти: або ланцюг або отак гуляти біля дому... Ця собака була безпритульна, її врятували добрі люди).

It was evening and it was raining, so the next morning I was surprised to see Julia on my doorstep. So, she didn't go home.
Cats didn't really like such company! It was a rainy day, so I walked the dog a little in the direction of her house (it's a neighboring farm) and told her to go home. It seemed that she went where she needed to, but the next morning Julia was next to my house again! Apparently, the rain washed away the tracks and smells and she got lost, so she spent the second night away from home...
Julia decided that she would live with us and even started barking loudly at passers-by on the street and touching my cats.

Це був вечір і падав дощ, то ж на наступний ранок я здивувалася, побачивши Джулію на своєму порозі. Отже, додому вона не пішла.
Котам така компанія не дуже подобалась! День був дощовий, то ж я трохи провела песика у напрямку його дому (це сусідній хутір) і сказала йти додому. Здавалося, що вона пішла куди потрібно, та на наступний ранок знов опинилася біля мене! Мабуть, дощ змив сліди і запахи і вона заблукала, тобто вже другу ніч вона ночувала не вдома (...
Джулія вирішила, що житиме в нас і навіть почала жваво гавкати на перехожих по вулиці і зачіпати моїх котів.

In the evening I had to go to the city and spend the night there. So, before that, I decided to lead the dog to her house. We had to go to the top of the hill and into the forest.
At first everything was great and the dog walked politely in front of me or behind me. But later she started to wander off to side paths or into other people's yards where no one lives. Everything was interesting to her... And I couldn't understand whether the dog was walking somewhere behind me or whether she had changed her mind about following me.

Увечері мені слід було їхати до міста з ночівлею. То ж я прийняла рішення відвести собаку прямо до її дому. Дорога далека, слід пройти на вершину пагорба і в ліс.
Спочатку все було чудово і собака чемно йшла переді мною чи позаду. Та згодом почала відлучатися на бокові стежки чи у чужі подвір'я, де ніхто не живе. Все їй було цікаво... А я не могла зрозуміти, чи йде собака десь позаду, чи взагалі передумала за мною слідувати.

So, I realized that I didn’t have enough time to take this little rascal to her home. Unfortunately, I don’t have a leash or anything like that...
So we just sat down to rest at the edge of the forest.
I drank delicious tea and enjoyed "doing nothing". Before that, there were difficult days associated with my moving to the village, so just sitting, staring at the green wall of the forest, turned out to be a real pleasure!
My guard was sitting next to me in the bushes.

Доволі швидко я зрозуміла, що не маю достатньо часу, щоб відвести цю малу розбишаку до її дому. На жаль, поводка чи чогось схожого у мене немає...
То ж ми просто сіли відпочити на краю лісу. Я пила смачний чай і насолоджувалася нічого-не-робленням. Перед тим були непрості дні, пов'язані з переїздом, то ж просто посидіти, вдивляючись в зелену стіну лісу, виявилося справжньою насолодою!

And then we went back... to my home:) I hoped that the next day the owners would come for this beauty and take her away, and until then she would be completely safe in my yard.
We walked along a field road and there was real beauty all around!
It was the first sunny day in a long time. The first warm day! At the same time, there was a rather fresh wind, which played merrily with the lush branches of the maples above. And this unrealistically blue sky was so amazing, as if I were from another planet.

А потім ми вирушили назад... До мене додому:) Я сподівалася, що на наступний день по цю красуню приїдуть власники і заберуть її, а до того часу їй буле цілком безпечно на моєму дворі.
Пішли польовою дорогою і навколо була справжня краса!
Перший сонячний день за довгий час. Перший теплий день! Водночас був доволі свіжий сильний вітер, який весело грався пишними гілками кленів вгорі. І це нереально блакитне небо так дивувало, ніби я з іншої планети.

I realized that there is a positive in this whole strange situation. I took a walk with pleasure and admired the long-familiar landscapes that I missed. I missed June, the beginning of summer, the flowers that bloom at this time...
(By the way, after this nice clear day it started raining again...)

Я зрозуміла, що є позитив у всій цій дивній ситуації. Я з приємністю прогулялась і помилувалась давно знайомими пейзажами, за якими скучила. Скучила за червнем, за початком літа, за квітами, які цвітуть саме в цю пору...
(До речі, пісня цього дивного ясного дня у нас знову почались дощі...)

How did the story end?
I did go to the city, leaving the dog and cats in the same space (they have already become friends to some extent), feeding everyone. I always leave plenty of food and water for the cats in the house.
The next day, when I was away, the children of owner took Julia the traveler (they live quite far away, so they couldn't come faster).
I hope the dog won't run away from home in the future!

Чим закінчилася історія?
Я таки поїхала в місто, залишивши собаку і котів в одному просторі (вони вже подружилися частково), нагодувавши усіх. Котам завжди лишаю вдосталь корму та води в хаті.
На наступний день, коли я була відсутня, діти власниці таки забрали Джулію-мандрівницю (вони живуть доволі далеко, то ж не могли приїхати одразу).
За час відсутності охоронця, на жаль лис з'їв кілька курей, бо хутір знаходиться в лісі... Така історія. Сподіваюся надалі Джулія не буде втікати з дому!
