Yesterday I needed to get out of the house, so I took a short walk on Alburgh Recreational Rail-trail. I pulled in from Route 78 and drove through a stunning canopy of tall trees with bright golden leaves; the ground blanketed with them, too. I got out of my car to start walking the trail and was captivated by the constant falling leaves among the quiet atmosphere. The only sounds I heard throughout my walk were acorns falling and tiny animals scurrying about the forest. I walked along Mud Creek, a cattail marsh surrounded by forest with colorful foliage. I walked across the snowmobile bridge and through the colorful tree-lined path until I turned around and walked back to my car. The trail would have eventually led to the center of Alburgh Village, but I did not complete the whole journey. I encountered two snakes during my short walk, so I get the impression that the trail is home to many snakes. Not to mention, the snake graffiti on the abandoned trail cabin situated in the parking area.

The colors are beautiful, I don't think my camera does them any justice.
Walking a route like this would be exceptionally rejuvenating, nothing every captures the full experience no matter how hard one tries.

Thank you, haha I went back a couple days later to do a Halloween photoshoot with my daughter and many of the bright yellow leaves had all fallen in such a short time.
A short walk on the Alberg Recreational Rail-Trail is quite nice for you to spend some nice moments there. The variety of plants and colorful leaves looks charming all around. Aren't you scared of the snake?
It startled me when it moved to get away from me. Haha but I think it was more scared of me.
This place is very beautiful. A place of healing with your self. Sometimes it's better to be alone and talk with yourself with this kind of soroundings. Let yourself experience being loved.
