This Wednesday walk took place a few weeks ago. It was a walk of celebration and farewell.
Celebrating friendship by the sea is always a luxury. When friends live in other lands, those encounters become indelible and transcendental.
And so was this reunion...more of family than friends. We went to the 70th Promenade in the Havana municipality of Playa. This coast has been for many years a meeting point for enjoyment.
Before there was no infrastructure. A few years ago a development project took over this piece of Havana. Several restaurants have flourished in it, a cemented promenade borders the coast and even a small amusement park is nestled in its areas.
Enjoying a good meal by the sea, bathed in that incomparable breeze is something guaranteed here.
Watching the last lights of the day fall, chatting, laughing, saying goodbye...will remain pleasantly engraved in our memory.
We will see each other again, on this...or on another shore. The only thing I wish is that we don't have to wait 4 years again.

I guess we have to see them from the positive side, although they are not easy at all. And that place by the sea is so nice 🤩
Meetings and farewells are already part of the idiosyncrasy of us Cubans. We have been saying goodbye for so long that I think it is becoming less and less painful 😔.
What a beautiful place, and on the seashore, as you say, a real luxury.
