Barranquet de Beniarda

I have started writing this post a few times already and deleted the introduction each time because I didn't like it. There is no explanation why I can't start this post which actually brings refreshment. It would be enough for me to look at the pictures and go back in my mind to that place where I walked in the forest, where the air is cleaner and cooler. And we also have a video that I recorded there, with birds chirping and the river flowing. The wind sometimes gave its voice too, so I hope you would also like to come with me now on this walk, through pictures or video footage - whatever you choose. But how to start writing... that is still the question.

Well, let's just jump directly to this path, next to the ravine called Barranquet de Beniarda.

This path is hidden between tall pine trees, poplars and willow trees. Right now, in the middle of summer, we can't find mushrooms or colourful flowers as everything is quite dry. I found just one wild purple flower and nothing else. Still, the bushes and trees are here to protect us from the sun.

This is the path through the forest that connects the water reservoir Guadalest with two villages, Baniardá and Benimantell. I was there, walking this route while my husband stayed down by the water, fishing. In some parts, the path did not offer any challenge, but there were some stages where I had to find my way through stones or practising some sports disciplines. 😂 I hope you can see it in the video.

Crossroads even in the forest? We can't escape from them, not even in nature but good to have signs. I was coming from the Pantá de Guadalest.

I was amazed at how deep is the ravine and how tall the trees are that grow there. There were also bushes, creepers and brambles that still didn't have fruits on them.

Little info board about the biodiversity of this place. Snakes? 😱 Wild boars? 😱 Good I didn't meet any during the time I spent there. I heard birds and saw some little insects though.

The one and only type of flower I saw this time there.

I didn't continue up to the villages, as it was nature time and staying there. My poor husband spent hours by the water and sunburned a bit, even though he was sitting under a parasol. It was a warm day but he didn't notice how strong the sun was because of the breeze.

In my case, the tall trees gave me a good shelter. 😇

P.S. It seems that something is not working well with 3speak, I tried to upload this post with the video and it gave me an error. Twice... I hope, I really hope those attempts will not result as published posts later... and sorry for not seeing me going under that tree trunk 😂
