The first rays of the morning sun illuminated the main bus station of this sleeping giant. These sun rays were a bit shy, I must admit, as the sky was covered with clouds; the sun only rarely peeked out, and a heavy afternoon shower sealed the day. Everything was uncertain and contrasting, just like this walk of mine. It started from there, from that station where someone dropped me off.

From there, I took one of the main avenues as I wanted to go with the safe path, although the navigation suggested a different one. Anyway, I arrived at this roundabout and realised that I had to turn left earlier. No worries, I already knew this part very well. I passed here countless times by car, but when you are a walker, you try to find shortcuts where cars can't pass.

For example, you can walk through a small park and get a surprise. I could not say that it was an especially great surprise, just a regular, normal surprise. 😆

What were these strange-looking objects doing in a park?

Luckily, there were some information panels, like an outdoor exhibition, but these objects were not pieces of art. They didn't have any artistic value; as I understood, those were just parts of machines and tools, pipes, valves and water meters used in irrigation networks, water supply and sewerage of this area. I still don't see the point here.

In my opinion, it doesn't have a particularly educational character. Maybe the idea was to reuse old objects and give them a new life, although only as an exhibition in a park. Whoever designed this small park will know whether these pipes and valves add value or not. 🤷♀

Anyway, I was not there to spend a lot of time seeing these pipes. I needed to get to the Rincon de Loix neighbourhood where I had my car parked and continue my day, which involved another walk to a cross you saw yesterday, a visit to the hairdresser (I cut my hair a bit), and an afternoon full of lessons until late in the evening.

From this park, I took another avenue, and then I listened to the navigation and took a shortcut to reach my destination "quicker". On the map, I didn't see that it would be a different world. At first glance, it didn't seem strange at all—well, not very strange, even though I was entering a green world, with fields of grass and wildflowers. This is Benidorm? Are you sure? Where are the tall buildings and the wide streets, cars and all the people?

Yes, I was sure. There in the background, the well-known buildings emerged from the grass and cacti that grow in freedom.
The path got worse and narrower. At every moment, I could end up in someone's backyard or pass through a portal and cross worlds.

Miles de besos a la ___ (thousands of kisses to the ___ ) I couldn't read the last word written on the asphalt; replace the unknown word at your choice.

In this odd walk, I even passed by the ruins of a house that gave home to someone many years ago. Strange how the price of every square meter of this area is so high, and then you find yourself in a part of the city with some ruins and surrounded by wildflowers. I hope these fields will not be covered by new buildings in a few years.

Contrasts - skyscrapers, meadow, old houses and mountains.

Soon, I would reach the quiet neighbourhood where I had left my car the day before to pick it up and continue my day and activities.

Surprise - in no time, I was back to civilisation and my vehicle. :))

Was it crying as I left it alone for a night? Just tears of joy, I guess. 😂

There is no doubt that the city is beautiful and that you now have a lot to know about it. To me these pieces suggest to me to occupy the free space of the park and to emphasize how through them the water is supplied to the city.
Thousands of kisses to the earth (I interpreted).
Thanks for sharing your walk. Nice Thursday. 🥰
This is a very nice and wise interpretation, Mamani. 🙌🍀
Thank you!
Strange parts but a touch of history I guess is what they are sharing
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
I suppose every city has these odd parts, to make contrast :)
And you're walking here and there alone? The park looks like a place in some scary movies like Saw or Wrong Turn. I don't know why that's the first thing I thought when I see the photo. Maybe it's because if the ground, the wild grass and those machines 🙉😆. Anyways, it's really quiet in there. There's a lot to see everywhere, it was surrounded with greens and trees. Looks like a good place to stroll.
Yes, I am a big girl hahaha and I walk alone 😁 I guess I didn't see any scary movie then hahah, well, I like suspense movies and thrillers but not the horror one. That's why the park didn't remind me of it , it was just strange to see those objects there
Well, walking alone is more amazing if you're alone. I would do that too if only I know our place is safe. But, aigooo, the safety in some places in the Philippines is really bad now 🙉🙉. It's just cool that its safe to walk around in that area. You can enjoy the peacefulness of the place 💃✨
What were those strange things in that park?
By the way, I love shortcuts, I always use them as long as they don't look creepy. I even prefer the creepy ones where I live because I know this place very well 😂
Those objects were some water pipes and tools used in irrigation and water supply systems of the area. Why they where there, that's already another question hahaha. 😂
I imagine that after you kissed its steering wheel it cried even more... with happiness, of course. 😄
It behaves very well 😊 so I indeed talk to it and the kiss can't miss. Now I am sitting in the car, and writing comments.
It learned to drive alone. (Haha, just a joke, my husband drives today)
Hi @mipiano, I'll tell you that that park you passed through with those rare objects, maybe it's intended for visitors from other worlds. A kind of technological showcase... and maybe they also thought about the Martians living on Earth, like me, I liked to see those loose and rusty pieces around that place. I have seen much worse things at ARCO.
The important thing is that I enjoyed this walk, with a Benidorm (I have not mistaken the place?) very different from the one I remember having visited.
A very big greeting.
In one moment that idea came to my mind, that it must be something related to Martians hahaha, but I wasn't sure. Now as you say, we are completely convinced about that 😂
Yes, Benidorm, can be seen better in my yesterday's post.
Vay, I skipped a day. Now I'm off to watch yesterday's Benidorm.😁
Mala-dorm is good as well 😂
También, estoy molido... día largo!! 🤣 Ya estoy en Mala-dorm de ayer. Ya te comento algo...
It's been a great journey I love it!!!! Well it's true that the navigator sometimes tells us one way and the road forks or something like that and we end up anywhere. I liked the experience... strange things but you arrived safe and sound and that's what's important. I loved your exploration!
Usually the navigator says well the things but we don't listen to it or we miss the good direction 😂
Until the day it comes to life... watch out, it's haunted!🤣
😱😂
Be careful... it will lead you to the witch's forest...🤣
Will I find a new car there, in that forest? 😂
Very good! That's right! Yes! a new one zero kilometer!!!
