Walking through the Forest to reach the Lake Sain Ann

in Wednesday Walklast month

Hello everyone 💚

Ready to enjoy a virtual tour through the forest? 🌲🌳

This walk took place last year in March, around same date as today, but I thought it's just the day TODAY to share it within the community because, to be honest, this is where it fits the most! It's just about Walking through the Forest.

A few days ago I shared with you some pictures from this lake, the only crater lake in Romania called Lake Saint Anne (Ann) and I mentioned there to be back with some photos I took on the way from the parking towards the lake. So here I am now!

The walk down to the lake is pure enjoyment. It's so refreshing, you really feel closer to nature and you literally release all those happiness and good mood hormones. I love forests in general and I love taking pictures when walking through the forest.

This walk outside was wonderful and it really made our day. Even though it's March and usually March means a bit chilly, the sun was shining brightly, making everything feel warm and cheerful. It was a perfect day to be outdoors, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.
Moreover, we were staying at a SPA resort where walking opportunities were...let's say limited. So, this stroll was exactly what we needed.

I really don't remember how much time it took us to get down to the lake, but google maps says it's around 25 minutes walk and 1.6 Kilometers.
Well, maybe. I was too busy anyways with taking photos and feeling a bit enchanting with the view. And the air. And the footsteps.

Several times, we opted for a shortcut, weaving through fallen logs and trees instead of taking the main road to the lake. There wasn't a particular reason, perhaps just to save some steps. But looking back,it felt like a mini adventure. We were all in high spirits, simply happy to be there, or to put it another way, feeling youthful and carefree.

That's the joy of a weekend getaway without kids. It gives you the freedom to improvise and do things that might not be possible with little ones.😁

The one thing I wish I had done during this walk is to reach the Belvedere View Point.

As you will see in the printscreen below, it says that somewhere on the way, it's a Belvedere View Point , meaning a specific point that provides a scenic view of the surrounding landscape, in this case the lake.
We missed it! Actually I didn't know about it. (But there's always a next time. Because I know it's going to be a next time. Why? Simply because the lake is next to this resort I was mentioning above. And we'd go there maybe once a year.)

Anyways, we were very very close to the place! Even now, I don't understand how we missed it! But now that we do know, next time we'll be more careful. I think the map here is very clear for you to understand the path we walked.
Not to mention, we had to be careful about the bears. You don't want to face a bear!

Here are a few more photos for you to enjoy. Well, I DO hope you enjoy taking a closer look at them. 😁

Now that I'm writing all this, I'm thinking about what I like more: to walk the streets of a city, to walk on a beach, on a hill, up on the ridge of the mountains or on the winding paths of a forest?? and I am actually amazed because I cannot decide....:))

What about you? If you'd be to choose, where would you take your walk?? 💓

I'm so sorry guys if I added too many photos. It's just that I want them all to fit in here,
because I like them all. I don't have a favorite and I definitely can't decide which ones to stay or which ones to go. This is a thing I have to work on with myself.😔

Well, anyways, I hope you enjoy this virtual tour through the forest, here in my Romania. I'm telling you, same as any country out there, Romania is very beautiful. We have a lot of nature places, incredibly beautiful! Good thing @gabrielatravels and @triplug write about our country very often and so you can discover at least, virtually, some of this country's nature wonders!

Have a lovely day and enjoy your walk 😁💚

love,
missdeli

If you added some Lindt this would have been a perfect day. (Ok, even without the chocolate it looked perfect!)

No, no Lindt in this five days vacation. But sadly I'm sure there was something else to taste sweet that day: an ice cream or a dessert after dinner. 😅
Or maybe some sweet pastry at brunch. 😁....sometimes I wish not eat these high glucose foods. 🤔

Ice cream, dessert and pastry...that's three sweet things if I'm counting correctly. 🤣

Yes, but I'm not sure if I had just one of these that day, or maybe two, or all three. 😅😂
Well who's counting anyways? Appereantly, only You , cause I didnt. 😅

I can only count to three so when I have the opportunity to show off and make it all there way there I take it. So, let's call it three! 😁

Lol 😂😂. Even my kid knew how to count more than three, at 1.5 yrs old. Haha.
(Ofc I know it's a joke) 😀

One, two, three...

Nope, that's all I got.

🤪

I have some funny stories walking through that forest all the way down to the lake. It's been over 15 years already but was my first experience camping and reconnecting with the wilderness of nature and obviously that couldn't happen in a place more beautiful like this :)

Funny stories sounds something to treasure for a lifetime ♥️♥️.
Wow, first time camping here sounds also amazing.

I was camping first time at Vidra Lake and it was freaking awesome. It was somewhere in 2014 maybe. I was only two times camping. Lol. 😁 second time was at Oasa Lake. They were both true experiences to keep close to my heart and definitely they connected us more with the nature and make us appreciate it.

I also camped on Oasa Lake. It's a special energy over there :D
I actually miss my camping sessions so badly. I used to go camping yearly for at least 20 days and for 10 years in a row!

that sounds amazing, to be honest! I discovered this enjoyment of camping and going out, easy hiking trips I mean, too late, to put it this way. I hope you'll go camping for a weekend soon enough, so you can reconnect with nature the way you're used to. 😍

Very cool your walk in the woods, btw I know the place 😉

Well of course, walking 💙. It's super nice, but you already know how it is. Honestly, I miss walking along u guys, somewhere remote. If possible. Remembr pur last trip to Cheile I dont remember their name. Lol. The Lake Scropoasa trip. It was amazing. 🥹🥹🥹♥️♥️♥️. I miss it so so much.
There's no other way getting to the lake anyways.. when u went to Tinovul Mohos you left your car in this same parking?

Yes, when I visited Tinovul Mohoș I left the car in one of the parking lots there, if I remember correctly where I bought the entrance ticket I also paid for the parking.
Yes, a walk in nature would be very welcome, but we don't know when that will happen.

Me either 😞! But I spoke with husband just today about it LOL! Let us know if you guys decide going somewhere...just saying!

The coming weekend is shaping up to be a nice one and I think we'll be taking a trip to two places I've been wanting to go for a while.
But it all depends on the weather, but also on the fact that I have some work at home and the people who help me think I can only come on weekends.
