Hello friends from the @wednesdaywalk community, I love participating with you, because thanks to the initiative of my friend @tattoday, we can share the beautiful walks and hikes we take every Wednesday.

With this initiative, by reading the content posted by other participants, we can learn about different cities, provinces, and countries around the world 🌎, their culture, and traditions, using photographs. So, it's an excellent initiative on Wednesdays.

The walk I am presenting today is about a place I pass by from time to time when I go to the market or when I come home. It is a neighborhood called 23 de Enero, which borders the eastern part of the city of Barquisimeto, specifically between Lara Avenue and the Jirahara interchange.

I started the tour in Macario Yépez Square, which is located diagonally across from the administrative headquarters of Lisandro Alvarado University, called the rector's office.

The plaza is very popular with local residents for walking in the morning or afternoon, exercising, dance therapy, and every January 14th it is one of the mandatory stops in the procession of the Divine Shepherdess, where the residents of the area and all the businesses in the surrounding area pay homage to her.

That day, I stopped at this square and took some photos where you can see shops, stores, pharmacies, and beautiful buildings. It was the perfect day to take these photos because the sky was clear and the sun was shining brightly, allowing me to see the beautiful white clouds.

Continuing on my way home, I entered the 23 de Enero neighborhood, where there is a Chinese grocery store that I like to visit because it has very good deals on food and vegetables. I stopped there to take some pictures, then continued on to the Jirahara hotel to head towards the riverfront and get home. On the way, I came across beautiful apartment buildings and townhouses with striking facades covered with clay tiles, which make them stand out for their colorfulness.

De paseo por el sector 23 de enero

Hola amigos de la comunidad @wednesdaywalk, me encanta participar con ustedes, ya que gracias a la iniciativa del amigo @tattoday, podemos compartir los hermosos paseos y caminatas que realizamos cada miércoles.

Con esta iniciativa, al leer los contenidos de las de los demás participantes, podemos conocer diferentes ciudades, provincias y países de todo el mundo 🌎, su cultura, tradiciones, para lo cual nos valemos de las fotografías. Así que es una excelente iniciativa la de los miércoles.

Esta caminata que les presento el día de hoy es referente a un sitio que de vez en cuando paso cuando voy a hacer mercado o cuando vengo camino a casa. Se trata de un barrio llamado 23 de Enero el cual colinda con la zona este de la ciudad de Barquisimeto, específicamente entre las avenidas Lara y el distribuidor Jirahara.

El recorrido lo inicié en la plaza Macario Yépez que está ubicada diagonal a la sede administrativa de la universidad Lisandro Alvarado llamada rectorado.

La plaza es muy concurrida por los habitantes de la zona para caminar en la mañana o tarde, hacer ejercicios, bailo terapia y todos los 14 de enero de cada año es una de las parada obligatoria en la procesión de la divina pastora, donde los habitantes de la zona y todo los negocios que están a los alrededores le rinden homenaje.

Ese día hice una parada en esta plaza, tomé unas fotografías donde se pueden observar negocios, locales, farmacias y lindos edificios. El día se prestó para tomar estas fotos ya que estaba muy despejado el cielo, había un sol fuerte que permitía observar las hermosas nubes blancas.

Siguiendo mi recoorrido hacia mi casa, entré al barrio 23 de enero, allí hay un abasto Chino el cual me gusta visitar por que tiene muy buenas ofertas en Víveres y verduras. Allí me detuve a tomar fotografías, luego seguí hacia el hotel Jirahara para tomar el sentido hacia la ribereña y llegar a casa. En el camino me encontré con bonitos edificios de apartamentos y casas tipo town house con llamativas fachadas cubiertas con lengüetas de arcilla, lo cual hace que destaquen por su colorido.
