Visitando el Smithsonian/ Visiting Smithsonian Natural History Museum [ES-EN]

Hola, un saludo tengan amigos de la comunidad @hive.
Hoy les quiero compartir una experiencia que si bien muchos de ustedes conocen que existe, quizás nunca se han aventurado a ella. Sin más preámbulo, vamos al tema.

Viajar y tener la dicha de conocer nuevas experiencias tiene que ser sí o sí un derecho de cada persona en este mundo. Contar con la oportunidad de visitar nuevos lugares y contemplar todo lo maravillosos que tienen para ofrecer es uno de los grandes placeres con que contamos en esta vida.
¿Qué amante del arte no ha querido visitar alguna vez el museo del Louvre? ¿Cuál buscador de secretos no ha querido entrar a las Pirámides de Egipto? ¿Qué admirador de la historia no ha deseado pasearse por el Museo de Historia Natural Smithsonian? Y como estos, cientos de lugares que hemos visto en algunos documentales o revistas.
¿Y si les dijera que sí, que es posible ir y pasearse entre estos? No me tilden de loco, les estoy abriendo las puertas a nada más y nada menos que la VISITAS VIRTUALES.

Las visitas virtuales no son más que la exposición a través de fotos y/o videos de una locación determinada. Solo se necesita contar con un dispositivo de visualización conectado a Internet (computadoras, teléfonos celulares, tablets, etc.) y acceder a la visita del lugar al que queremos asistir. Claro, se lee fácil, pero para lograr virtualizar estos escenarios se hace primordial el uso de técnicas y dispositivos ópticos especiales que le dan el toque a la experiencia. Me refiero, por ejemplo, a las cámaras omnidireccionales (360°) y métodos como el stitching (combinación de múltiples imágenes para producir una vista panorámica a través de un software).

Los comienzos de estas visitas datan de los años 60, cuando la NASA quiso diseñar simuladores para el entrenamiento de su personal. Los avances tecnológicos alcanzados durante todo este tiempo, el aumento del poder computacional, nuevas cámaras de alta definición y la velocidad a Internet, han elevado considerablemente la calidad de estos paseos al punto de vivir una experiencia enriquecedora.

Dado todo el contenido que puede ser mostrado, el uso de estas visitas virtuales ha ido más allá de un mero paseo. La promoción de eventos, marketing, educación, cultura, experiencias guiadas son unas cuantas de las innumerables aplicaciones que se pueden derivar de esto. ¡Ya es considerado un nicho en el mundo de los negocios!
Imaginen sentarse con la familia en plan pasar tiempos juntos y decir: vayamos al Smithsonian!

Today I want to share with you an experience that although many of you know exists, perhaps you have never ventured into it. ¡Without further ado, let's get to it!

Traveling and having the joy of knowing new experiences has to be a right of every person in this world. Having the opportunity to visit new places and contemplate all the wonderful things they have to offer is one of the great pleasures we have in this life.
What art lover has not wanted to visit the Louvre Museum? What secret seeker has not wanted to enter the Pyramids of Egypt? What admirer of history has not wanted to walk through the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History? And like these, hundreds of places that we have seen in some documentaries or magazines.
What if I told you that yes, it is possible to go and walk among these? Don't call me crazy, I am opening the doors to nothing more and nothing less than VIRTUAL TOURS.

Virtual tours are nothing more than the exhibition through photos and/or videos of a specific location. It is only necessary to have a viewing device connected to the Internet (computers, cell phones, tablets, etc.) and access the visit of the place we want to attend. Sure, it reads easy, but to achieve virtualization of these scenarios it is essential to use special techniques and optical devices that give a touch to the experience. I am referring, for example, to omnidirectional cameras (360°) and methods such as stitching (combining multiple images to produce a panoramic view through software).
