Crystalline waterfall

in Wednesday Walk6 months ago (edited)

We got together at dawn, it was well worth getting up early because today's destination has a supernatural charm. Between jokes we went deeper into the forest, and the moment came when the breath was no longer enough for more conversations, only to admire what the landscape had to offer us. I took advantage of every moment to stay behind and take a shot of the moment without disturbing the privacy of my companions. Then, like a spy, I recorded the moments of our walk....

The mountains in Cuba are plagued with huge palm trees, our Royal Palms (Roystonea regia). It is the most symbolic plant in the Cuban countryside, and is recognized as the national tree, it is usually up to 25 meters high, but in some cases it can reach 40 meters!!!! 😳

It is also a sacred tree for one of the most widespread religions in Cuba - the Regla de Ocha, Santería or Regla de los Orishas. This tree is the favorite of the rays, and that is why it is one of the attributes that represent Orisha Changó. That's what I was thinking while walking surrounded by so many sacred beings.

... And I also wondered if these little houses were made from the boards that can be taken from the trunk of the Royal Palm, because the roofs really disappointed me. Putting a roof of asbestos shingles, in the middle of an environment full of fabulous natural materials, left me dumbfounded 😯. I don't see the point, even if they explain it to me patiently...

The hike continues despite my thoughts and reflections, leaving behind the last vestiges of population, until we reach a refreshing water source. What a thrill. The sweat runs all over our bodies and a good swim in these clear waters will be a great reward for the effort.

Huge joy... at last!!!! The great prize is the enjoyment of breathing so much good air and immersing ourselves in those crystalline waters, of sharing the beauty and being away from screens (momentarily😅), also a little bit of Yoga 😉. We are reaching our final destination, but first we have to enjoy the refreshing currents along the way, for that we are making stops on our walk along the riverbed.

By the way, I am thankful that in Cuba we have no dangerous animals, there is nothing to fear. And there is the final point of our journey. We arrived!

I leave my bag, camera and clothes on a rock, we will not see them later, I will be hours under that waterfall. 🤗...

Thanks to you for being present. These are the mountains of Pinar del Rio, west of Havana. I love to get lost in those places, and now with this heat, there is no better place to be.

Great hug !!!

I love nature! What a beautiful place, everything with water, especially the sea and waterfalls I love! Beautiful hike!😃

It is very hot, and the truth is, what we really want is to be in the water all day long. Add to that that I'm a Pisces according to the Sodiac 😁, where there's water I'm in my element. Thank you for joining me on this walk 🙏

I'm cancer and I love the beach!!! I love the water!

😁👍👍👍🤗❤️

Incredible and healing, I ended the day with the feeling of having been born again. The combination of a waterfall and the tropical climate is the closest thing to paradise.
🤗

😘😘😘😘😘😘❤️🌼

😉😁

How delicious those moments are, and how good it is that you don't have to worry about dangerous animals here. Greetings friend

I was a child and teenager who lived camping all over the island. And from a very young age I was made aware of how benevolent our nature is. I love !!!!

Wow, that waterfall looks amazing. What a great walk in contact with nature.
