Wednesday Walk - Scarecrow Contest

Here is a local scarecrow contest we looked at for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay

Most of these scarecrows were created by various scout and school groups at the local arboretum. The theme was open, it just has to look sort of like a scarecrow.

Here's a gnome themed scarecrow. Perhaps it is also holding some donut lollipops?

These kids eat way too much fast food. A fry themed scarecrow? I would think fries would attract more crows.

P1010413 copy.jpg
Here is a kind of creepy mother of skeleton babies. These kids watch way too much horror or they have crazy parents who watch too much horror lol.

P1010414 copy.jpg
A bearcrow? It seems to be tying up all the birds with yarn if they land on him...

P1010418 copy.jpg
I'm sure the Rock would love the fanny pack on this scarecrow. Perhaps this is the really well prepared scarecrow as it has everything packed in numerous storage devices.

P1010419 copy.jpg
A mysterious fortune telling witch scarecrow? Not sure what is in the box, maybe the kids typed in random prompts into an ai program to come up with this one.

What works better than noisy dogs as a scarecrow. Even better they are married like lady and the tramp.

Enough low tech scarecrows, this high technology robot will probably shoot crows with laser beams while watering the crops at the same time.

I think this scarecrow was supposed to be going to a clown contest but got lost in a cornfield and decided to become a farmer instead.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

It was a lot of fun watching you walk! Positive.

Scarecrow photo shoot

I suspect I'll be having to help make these kind of things soon when my daughter gets old enough for school.

You can start training in the spring. :)

Still too early for snow sledding this winter.

Haha. This is incredibly fun! The scarecrow is creatively done. I wonder what ages of students did this art!

I love the photographs and how you add descriptions to them! 😊

I think they were early elementary age, and I would suspect their parents had to build quite a bit of it for them lol.

How fun! People are so creative and they are all so different.

I can only image what the creative brainstorming was like. Probably fueled a bit by sugar.

WOW those are so cool what a fun event I think my favorite is the tin can one

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)

I only took pictures of half of them. The robot one was my favorite too.

such a fun event wish they did something like that here and let peoples creativity flow

I really liked those pictures, they are very funny scarecrows.

The kids really have a big imagination.

Wow! People are creative. I enjoyed every bit of this photo.

I try to imagine what I would have created if given that project as a kid.

Donut lollipops! The clear winner

Gnomes and donuts combo breaker. I have to think of a gnome for the holidays themed christmas card for work. Perhaps a 3d racing game with gnomes collecting donuts as boosters for speed to get home faster could work.
