Wednesday Walk along the Rosario waterfront [ENG|ESP]

Hello friends! taking advantage of the beautiful day I decided to extend my morning walk a few kilometers and reach a part of the city of Rosario that I didn't know. I started by the Oroño Boulevard, an avenue with a walkway in the center surrounded by lush trees and beautiful houses; usually I get to the boulevard and take to the left where there is a huge park with ponds and a rose garden (in a next opportunity I will show you), but this time I went to the right because I had seen on the map that at the end of this avenue was the Paraná River.

Hola amigos, aprovechando el lindo día decidí alargar mi caminata matutina algunos kilómetros y llegar hasta una parte de la ciudad de Rosario que no conocía. Inicie por el Boulevard Oroño, una avenida con una caminería al centro rodeada de frondosos árboles y hermosas casas; usualmente yo llego al boulevard y tomo hacia la izquierda donde hay un parque enorme con lagunas y un rosedal (en una próxima oportunidad se los muestro), pero esta vez me dirigí a la derecha porque había visto en el mapa que al final de esta avenida estaba el río Paraná.

After a couple of kilometers I arrived at the northern waterfront and I was pleasantly surprised, in addition to a wonderful view, I got a park that extends along the river providing the perfect green tone to complete the scene with the blue sky. In this park there are several sculptures, among them "Abril" and "Mayo" by the artist Marta Minujín and the letters with the name Rosario; there are also some old huge colorful silos where now is the contemporary art museum of the city which I hope to visit soon.

Luego de un par de kilómetros llegue a la costanera norte y me lleve una grata sorpresa, además de una maravillosa vista, me conseguí con un parque que se extiende junto al rio brindando el tono verde perfecto para completar la escena junto al cielo azul. En este parque se encuentran varias esculturas, entre ella “Abril” y “Mayo” de la artista Marta Minujín y las letras con el nombre Rosario; además hay unos antiguos silos enormes de colores donde ahora funciona el museo de arte contemporáneo de la ciudad el cual espero visitar pronto.

This part of the city is more modern and is still under construction, it is full of residential buildings in front of what was the old pier, it reminded me a lot of Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires.

Esta parte de la ciudad es más moderna y es encuentra aun en construcción, está llena de edificios residenciales frente a lo que era el antiguo muelle, me recordó mucho a Puerto Madero en Buenos Aires.

To close with a flourish there in the middle of Avenida de la Costa, on a traffic circle, there is a giant paper "boat", it is a sculpture made entirely of metal designed by two architects of the city and is certainly an attraction for tourists and locals.

Para cerrar con broche de oro allí en medio de la Avenida de la Costa, sobre una rotonda, hay un “barquito” de papel gigante, es una escultura hecha en su totalidad de metal diseñada por dos arquitectos de la ciudad y que sin duda es una atracción para los turistas y locales.

I must admit that I was a bit far from home but it was totally worth it, I really enjoy these long walks. Thanks for joining me to get to know my new city.
