My Wednesday Walk To A Web3 Event That Flopped

Hi guys; greetings from Lagos Nigeria.
And i welcome y'all to my wednesday Walk today 😊.

A random person made an announcement on one of the web3 groups i belong to about a particular web3 event holding at The Zone Company located at Gbagada, Lagos Nigeria.

Basically, i am very obsessed with anything web3 event, both online and offline. So i quickly made up my mind to attend the event.

Why I Don't Joke With Web3 Events:

It is a time to learn new things from industry experts.
It is a time for new connections and contacts.
It gives you room to join communities that suits your niche.
It gives you room to widen your scope on the system.
It's an opportunity to advertise yourself for jobs and business deals.

There are basically a lot of opportunities that comes with attending web3 events, especially offline events.

I dressed up that morning, though i didn't leave the house on time because of some other engagements i had that day. But due to the fact that the time given was 9am to 5pm, i felt leaving the house by 10am or 11am is not still bad.

I got to the event environment by past 12pm due to the distance and lagos traffic, and i was told that no such events isn't holding in that particular place.

Gush! I was mad, i have spent transport and i suspended a lot of things that i was doing, oh no way.

I tried contacting the person that invited me but he wasn't taking his calls, the security gave me a place to sit at the waiting room till I'm done with the call.

And after all waits, he just dropped a message that the meeting was just for 2 hours and it wasn't really a serious event.

I had to just get going home, so on my way home i had to take some shots in other not to totally waste the whole of the day.

I took a lot of all these pictures until i got to the bus station, then boarded a bus and went home.

It was a painful and disappointing experience for me, because of the time i wasted and still didn't participate in the event.
