a Nice walk in Buttonwood Park
This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)
I had another post all Prepared for today but the other day I was feeling the best I have for a while and it was a nice sunny day so I got out for a walk in Buttonwood Park
One thing I do not do often when put taking photos is take photos of people, perhaps in part because i often went out walking early morning when not many people were out and about, and in a bigger part I am generally not comfortable taking photos of people.
But on this walk I decided to try and get some shots of people and even got enough for a post so here we go
When I first parked at the park I noticed this guy laying down on the grass, I didn't get a photo of him at that stage, but he was still there when I got back to the car an hour later and got this shot of him

Seeing this guy skateboarding down the road in the park, I snapped a quick shot and that inspired me to try and get more shots of people so the rest of the photos are in the order I took them on the walk

And this lady was skating along behind him

Many were walking around enjoying the nice day and the scenery in the park, perhaps not so much this guy busy on his phone

And at the sid eof the pond this couple were sitting

and this guy was in the field just near the guy sleeping i started with, but he was active runnign around kicking a soccer ball

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I love people/street photography! Great that you overcame feeling uncomfortable about the shots and took them anyway. I really like the guy lying down enjoying his lunch break and the one staring at his phone.
TBH I am totally with you. In a way, it still creeps me out to take these shots, as if we are stalkers, and I hardly ever do it. And also, thinking about being on the receiving end of it, having my photo taken when I'm unaware. But honestly, I guess it is a new normal these days with cameras everywhere.
I love seeing street photos and photos of people but seldom do it as I dont feel comfortable taking them partially perhaps because i hate having my photo taken LOL
this kind of scenarios should be normalize, its just so amazing seeing other people doing nothing but actually enjoying their time. Its simple to capture yet its a lifetime and memorable experience
Thanks kindly your support is appreciated
Have a great day
He must have been Earthing! It looks like it was a beautiful day to get out and about. Those are some awesome candid shots!
yeah he could well have been and it was such a nice day
A very active Wednesday walk this one. The first guy seems to be in deep sleep or deep meditation.
I am also not very keen on talking pictures of people, but I really like the images you pu together here.
All of them tell a story.
Happy rest of the week.
thanks so much and have a good week
Nice that you got out for a #wednesdaywalk 👍 We are beautiful green here but lying in the grass is iffy due to all the ticks right now. Ick. I hate them. Funny how kids these days all carry a big water bottle everywhere they go. Its just normal now. Versus unthought of when I was young. Water fountain, hose, different options for a different time I guess haha
thanks and the pollen counts are crazy at the moment, the tree pollen especially my allergies are going crazy
yeah I had never thought about that with the water bottles it is so so true
I'm glad you were feeling well enough to take a walk! That's awesome!
You did great by taking these photos of people! That sleeping guy in your first photo seems like he doesn't have a care in the world...haha.
I like the action photo of the guy running around and kicking the soccer ball!
Thank you for sharing your photos with us!
Super the pictures, taking pictures of people is always a challenge, but they turned out great. Best regards, see you on Wednesday!

Everything is better when done in nature :) ...

I like to see pictures of people when they are not posing, so they are more genuine and natural, but I don't dare to take pictures of others when they are not ready for it.
I feel like it's an invasion or maybe it's because I'm uncomfortable having my picture taken without my consent.
The funny thing is that I do like to see the photos of others, like the ones you took, I love them because they look very sharp and most of them are in motion.
I had some time without sharing on Wednesdays but I'm back, greetings @tattoodjay
Hey there, I don't mean to be a parrot or anything.... But something is definitely up with your pinmapple links... It's visible in your post.. again. 😅 As far as I know it's not suppose to be visible?
Thanks I looked into it and your right its now supposed to be hidden and I have updated todays post and will try to remember to fix it for future posts also
I also don't feel comfortable taking photos of people especially now that I am living in a different country. People want their privacy.
Looks like a nice day to be outdoors. I also don't like taking people's pictures but most times am walking the street and people are all around me, so I don't focus on anyone, I just click and keep going. By now everyone is used to mobile phones and people taking pictures and videos, in Nairobi nobody bothers anymore, they are aware of content creators.
As always your pictures are looking great, thank you for sharing and keep enjoying your week :}
Thanks for your visit
and your support I am not so sure I will get comfortable taking photos of people on the streets but will try now and again
The photos are very nice. The first gives me a lot of peace, I wish I could have a nap like that. I wish I took photos as great as yours. I really liked your post. I recently joined the initiative and received an award or something at HIVE. Thank you very much for that. Greetings!
👍🙂👍
It is one thing I am not brave to do, too. Looked like you'd gone braver after the first try. Good job!
Sometimes it is just nice to simply sit around the park and observe the surroundings... I do this once in a while and observe the people and their actions. Nice pics by the way, you are a keen observer.
