We are in Goa by the ocean, enjoying the heat, humidity, sunshine and sea. From our place in Agonda beach we first drove with scooter for almost two hours away from the sea to more jungle, forest areas. During the drive we observed the rich vegetation, monkeys crossing our way and local people living their everyday life.

We went there with our friends which come from Norway, but have now decided to move to India for long-term together with their children. Specially them enjoyed the walk the most. It's so much to see here.

Finally we reached to Netravali Wildlife sanctuary. There we needed to pay 100 IRP for a person, and additional 50 IRP in order to continue our way with the scooter inside the protected area. When driving we noticed many signs and warning about wild animals like bears, tigers, leopards. We luckily only spotted the playful monkeys on the trees.

We parked next to the main road where was the starting point for Mainapi Waterfall Netravali. The path was very nice and went from sandy road to the steep steps going down the hill. On the way we observed big trees. It was very silent and we could hear birds singing all around us. Through all the way on the sides of the path there were countless spider webs which were looking very different. They are very well netted and have a big tunel in the middle. We could saw big skinny spiders resting in this holes.

We walked for around half an hour, maybe a bit more. When we reached we were all very amazed by big and wide waterfall which created many pools underneath it. Even though there are guards and a signboard that swimming is not allowed, many visitors continue the way down the small river and refresh in the small pools.

There we were lucky to see the big, beautiful sky blue butterfly. It was so gorgeous, the colours were amazing. The butterfly loved child's T-shirt and stayed there quiet some time. We think it was because he though that it's another one, as the colour was matching his.

After spending some time next to the waterfall, many many tourist came and it became loud and crowded. We were also hungry and decided it's time for us to leave. It was still a long drive ahead of us and besides that, we went wrong way and therefore took so much longer to reach our home. Tired but happy from what we have seen and done today we finished the day. Oh and of course not to forget, after finding back the way home and a too long drive, we rewarded ourselves with delicious food - Indian thali. It was tasty and really made properly with love.

How are you dear friend @thefootprint good morning
What a radical change your friends have made, coming from Norway to India is something very different.
I love the places where they have walked, nature always surprises us, what a beautiful butterfly they have found, beautiful shots
Thank you very much for sharing this Wednesday walking experience.

Good morning @jlufer, we are doing great. Traveling is interesting, but as well always energy consuming. What about you? 🙂
Yes, it appears this why, however the husband's parents originally comes from India (he was born and raised in UK). They wanted to go back to their roots and away from always busy Europe.
Thank you for such a nice comment! It's really appreciated.
Wish you a nice day! 🌻🌞

Beautiful place. Beautiful walk!

And adventurous friends. Wishing them a wonderful new experience there and best things for the year ahead for all of you 🪷

It was very nice, we enjoyed so much together with our friends. The husband's parents originate from India, so for them it wasn't such a big change. They knew exactly where they want to go to feel good.
Thank you! Wish you a nice day! 🌻🌞
