Rainy Wednesday walk visiting nearby waterfals

in Wednesday Walk2 months ago

Hi dear Hive community,

The weather was really not in our favor recently, as it was raining already for two weeks. We were craving to go a little bit outside on the cold without being scared of getting wet.

In the morning we drank our coffee and prepared breakfast for the way. It was very simple, some homemade bread with peanut butter and homemade plum jam. For some extra energy we took also a couple of big and sweet Marocain dates.

Besides the food we packed a bottle of tea and ponchos in case of more heavy rain. We started without any plan or goal. In the end we wanted to go all the way walking, so we started from home and headed into the forest below the village that we live in. The paths were narrow, muddy and sleepery. On top of that we needed to be careful to not step on the black and yellow lizards, who were hiding in the bunch of fallen leaves.

It was very beautiful weather for taking pictures as it was foggy and looking very mysterious. One time when we reached a small hill and needed to walk down the slope, we surprised two big brown owls that were hiding under rocks or trees. They flew aways as soon as they heard us approaching. It was a very beautiful moment.

After we crossed the river, we saw another detail of this forest magic on this #Wednesdaywalk. It was a big spider web, in which the droplets of water were collecting and making one big drop. We were surprised how strong this tiny webs are.

On the way we saw three waterfalls, which were looking very powerful due to strong stream, a consequence of constant raining. After passing the old Partisan hidden hospital, we also met an old lady, which was feeding her sheeps. She was asking if we were not scared because of difficult and slippery road. From there we went on the main road, and finally did a full circular path.
