Hello fellow readers and witters of the Hive!
When we talk about being rewarded we mean being really rewarded! On today's hike it was shown that being persistent, curious and not impacted by bad weather (fog, snowing, cold, cloudy) can turn into amazing adventure and priceless moments at the finish line.
Our equipment consisted only of essential things, warm clothes and this time we had help with our new hiking sticks.
We started the hike in a village called Livek at Soca Valley. Near the parking spot there is a farm of dears, and we saw lots of babies as well.
The first hour of our hike was going steep into the forest. The whole time it was snowing, and it was looking very magical. On the way we passed some remaining tunnels and ruins of the first world war.
Our goal was to reach the hill with a church on top, that is around 1600 meters high. Along the hill goes the border with Italy.
The hike was funny as we enjoyed walking in more and higher snow. As we left the timberline (the elevation line where trees do not grow anymore) the view became very bad, at some points we could only see probably 3 meter around ourselves.
In between due to bad visibility and not finding the marks showing us the way forward due to the high snow, we changed our destination and went on another hill nearby. On the top it was icy, windy and foggy. Suddenly the fog was blown away and for some minutes we could admire the clean view of the snowy mountain ranges.
We wanted to warm ourselves on some hot tea, but sadly we realized we didn't take the lighter with us. A lesson for our future hikes for sure.

Well, we had a loooot of layers of warm clothes to keep us warm 😁 With good wind protection it was not so difficult and it is very fun 🤗 Have a nice day! 💫🌞

Thanks for joining the Wednesday, I always love seeing all the walks shared from around the world, but as I am not getting out for as many walks at the moment because of feeling the cold I am especially loving the walks all around the world its like a virtual world tour
In the begining ot wasn't looking very promising but going out in any conditions can turn out to be quite fun. Of course you need a proper eqipment and lots of warm clothes. 💫🥶

Sometimes perhaps that make sit even more special is initially it doesnt look quite what one is hoping for
yes good winter clothes is important, recently I was struggling with feeling the cold in my feet, got some new boots so lets hope they will help
