Walking through Plaza Americas and its beach, Varadero Cuba

in Wednesday Walk6 months ago

Hello Wednesday Walk community!

Today I want to share with you this walk that I have made through the largest shopping center in Varadero, and not only for its center but also for its beach with the good offers you have for the public, also seeing some of your things curiosities, and always taking the opportunity to take some photos.

So join me on this adventure!

From the arrival at this shopping center we can appreciate its beautiful facade with modern architecture, its water fountain, its murals and our beautiful flag waving.

The water fountain is not so impressive, it’s not the best in the world, but when you see these beautiful stained glass windows it changes a lot, I love it. The day was quite sunny, and those crystals of different shades stood out a lot, the truth is that I found it very beautiful.

Its mural covers flags of the continent as the name of the shopping center reflects, these are half pixelated which I found super beautiful.

When we entered this center, we found an infinite number of shops of all kinds of things, as in most of these centers, but there was a store that caught my attention, so I got ready to enter.

This store was the one for Tobacco and Rum, this in my country is very enhanced by its very good quality worldwide. But what struck me the most was that inside this store there was a life-size statue of Alejandro Robaina, this was a Cuban farmer and veguero, tobacco producer, recognized for having a Tobacco brand in life with his name: Vegas Robaina, being one of the best tobacco producers in the world and was born and raised in Pinar del Rio, the province where I also live.

Then walk to the back of the center which faced the beach, we can continue looking at its beautiful architecture with large diagonal glass walls and a beautiful vegetation typical of the Caribbean beaches.

From its back to the beach it was only divided by a wooden bridge which crossed through some dense bushes of Caleta Grapes, when we left these we found a beautiful view of Varadero beach.

On both sides the view was incredible, I love these beaches, yes, to the right after leaving the bridge I could notice that the sea had swallowed the sand, or this part is more of a little reefs, so we decided to walk to the left.

The sand felt very good on the feet, very thin and soft, the coconut bushes gave it a super incredible background, I also found a swing which I could have taken to take pictures of my girlfriend, but we didn’t realize that, it will be another time.

I love this part, I love diving, I have a low level that here in Cuba is called Open Water but I have enjoyed every immersion I have done.

What if the views that must be seen from the small catamarans must be very beautiful in the middle of the water at a distance far from the shore
